I have many fond memories of Wolfson. I've spent many sleepless nights in the casual carrels in the library, subsisting on coffee and peppermint tea from the common room. It's a great study environment. I'll miss Sunday brunch. I'll miss looking out over the lawn at the Cherwell.nThe porter, Jerry, is very friendly. Say hi to him when you see him on the night shift!
We held our wedding reception at Wolfson College, and it was the best possible day we could have ever asked for. We were so impressed with how smoothly the day ran and received many compliments from our guests on this. This was thanks to the events team and catering team for their superb organisation. The food was also exquisite, and every guest emphasised how much they loved their meals. Wolfson really listened to us, and were very accommodating and ensured the day was completely stress-free. We're grateful to have had such a wonderful location for our special day. We would recommend it to everyone.
Best time in my student life was spent in Wolfson. Can’t be anymore grateful of this college for the good memories it has bestowed me with.nnI recalled that when I received my offer from Oxford and it says my college is going to be Wolfson, I was a bit down because it isn’t the kind of old, medieval college that everyone dreamt of. But as time goes by, I soon realized what makes great colleges is not the history, not the architecture which arguably this college is notorious for, not the location, but its people. I cannot think of any other college in Oxbridge that is more inclusive and diverse.nnEncourage all visitors to visit the Wolfson bar, if it opens during your visit.
Wolfson is one of the newer colleges in Oxford. It is a college for graduate students with a great atmosphere, with students of many cultures living together and getting along fabulously. The college has a library, games room, bar, gym and many other facilities for its students which makes it rather self-sufficient. It has a great view of the Cherwell river and large green pastures. It is a bit far from the shops but other than that, a really peaceful place to study and visit.
