Few months ago now, but 2 staff members got our bags back after we left them in the overhead apartment she called every station at the stops the train our bags were for an hour until someone answered and sent it back on an opposite train.nnThey then called me to let me know when to pick them up, there were sentimental items from family across the world in these bags.nnCannot remember the names but thanks a lot it was outstanding service beyond what is expected.
It is a railway station so what more is there to say. I would class it as cleaner than most. There is a handy pub over the road and the bus stops outside.nSufficient shelter and seating outside of rush hour.
Wokingham train station is operated by southwestern Railway. It is well arranged and has lift accessing the teo platforms. It runs between Reading and London Waterloo mainly though there are trains to Guilford as well. It has 2 entrances accessing the 2 platforms. However the entrance to platform 1 is the main entrance which has the vending machine, waiting area ànd night gate as well. No form of contact less payment is allowed in this station
I mistakenly took a wrong train from Reading, I was going to Early and train didn't stop there, the ticket checker asked me to get off here and take the next one from here back to Early station. I rechecked with another staff member and she helped me in finding the right train on time.nIt's a good sized station with 2 platforms.nBus stop and car park is right next to the station. Coffee shop is available inside the station.
Nice, modern station with good links to Reading, London Waterloo, Gatwick Airport, and other places. No complaints here.nnJust a shame that the trains are so often delayed/cancelled and overpriced.
