Took 3 of my grandchildren ages 6. 5 and 2. We went onto the park then to the cafe and had coffee and ice cream. The weather was lovely, families having picnics, It was lovely to see, we will be back.
Great park with plenty for all ages to enjoy. Recently updated with a toddler park area and one for older children aswell. Pump track for the kids to ride there bikes on and plenty of space to run around with dogs. We had ice creams from Ronnie's café and these were brilliant and big enough that we could all share without arguments. Also the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows was pretty good too! Car park on site that is 80p for 2 hours or £2 for all day which is pretty good to be fair with plenty of spaces. Will definitely be going back soon
Came here today! To do goape! Didn't realise how big this play was and so much to explore! Was out first time and will definitely be coming back! £2 for all day parking is brill. Cheap day out to do with the kids. Amazing parks and walks, also loveky shack for food and drink!! Playground: For all ages Restrooms: At the goape and shack Dog-friendliness: Everywhere! But best to keep them on leads incase other people aren't great with them Picnic area: Loads of benches around but massive field's to bring your own blankets or chairs.
Good sized car park, takes either cash or card. Parks in main part are all finished and according to my 10 year daughter, absolutely amazing!! Small sandpit, small fenced new toddler park and biiiig open large park. Lots of kids playing today including teenagers, lots of challenge equipment and 2 ziplines to race on!There's also a new Go Ape tree course chargeable and book in advance and lots of walks to enjoy. Big open spaces and secret walks around the Big Wander Woods. Bit sad that the little wooden park in there hasn't been updated. Good cafe which allows well behaved dogs in too. Restrooms: Available and open all year round. Always been clean and tidy when we've been to the park. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly walks, and allowed in the cafe if on lead and well behaved.
Took our two grandsons to go ape today here at Witton Park. They really enjoyed it but would have liked to have gone round twice, would have been better value for money as the area isn't that big.
A lovely space to walk around. Lots of fields, a river running through it, lily pond, Go Ape for the adventurous. The cafe is really good, lots of choice and freshly made. Recommend for a day out, kids, dogs, everyone!
Brilliant park!! The bike tracks are amazing, nothing like it anywhere close!! Brilliant kids playgrounds one for toddlers and another for bigger kids! The cafe is also great for a quick bite or some ice cream.
Hadn't been in a while, there is a charge for parking, 80p for upto 2hrs or £2 all day, which to be fair is good value. There's a lot of investment happening, with a sports centre, Go Ape, and a new play area in progress for the kids, as well as existing play areas, visitor centre with sone animals/caged birds, small pond with ducks/squirrels, sports fields & areas to take dogs for a run. Ladies toilets were gross wiped poo on the walls mens toilets were locked! Cafe was nice, but limited to pretty unhealthy food burgers, chips, bacon/sausage butties, cheese toasties & ice cream plus crisps/cookies/chocolate which was disappointing so left without buying anything. Good for flat walks, and there's also access into Billinge Woods for those wanting more woodland and muddy depending on the weather walk and fungi spotting. We managed to cover almost 5 miles walking both the Witton/Billinge routes.
Visited recently and loved it. Wide open grass, multiple playgrounds perfect for all ages, a small road section perfect for bikes or scooters and a pump track. There is a decent amount of dedicated parking so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding a space. If yiu are in the area I highly recommend giving this park a go. Playground: There are two playgrounds. One smaller one suitable for smaller children and another much larger one so there is something for everyone. Restrooms: There are public toilets near the pump track between the two playgrounds. Picnic area: I didnt see a dedicated picnic area but there is so much grass you can easily find a spot.
