Lovely walk, we didn't use the road, we approached from the opposite side stunning views from the top and a nice easy walk down to Rivington Pike
A wonderful walk starting from Walkers Fold Car Park, Scenery spectacular from all sides, its my 4th time up to the peak at Winter hill and still as amazing each time.
Freezing cold and quiet with stunning views. In the distance you can see Snowdonia and Liverpool docks to one side, the Peak District on the other and Manchester City centre in between.
Glorious hike round the Winter Hill and Rivington Pike circuit. Snow made it a little marshy in areas where the ground had thawed but no trouble in walking boots. Fab views in all directions and very quiet!
So many great trails Lots to explore many trail around
So many good walks take you up here & the view on a clear day is breathtaking
Fabulous walk with great views, abviously not on my walk, but on a clear day it would be spectacular

You can witness some great views from the top of here if the light is right. Managed to see the peaks of Snowdonia from here. Note to wrap up warm as it can get VERY cold in the winter months. The wind chill is brutal
