Yummy! Top tips ; 1: Much bigger queues at weekends, come in week if possible 2: Bring a portable chair, so you can face the afternoon sun and have a comfy seat. No benches around there, just a slope down with average views. 3. If you are patient enough and especially if someone else can hold the ice creams for you! you can drive 2 mins away and eat with fantastic views of the valley
Fab visit today! Have wanted to visit for ages Winstone’s Ice Cream is infamous locally, so was pleasantly surprised when we came across it on a walk on Rodborough Common. Gorgeous location to go for a walk and stop in for a rewarding treat! Lots of choice too!
Great icecream shop to cool you down on a hot day. Fab flavours and amazing quality. Prepare to wait in a queue, as it's super popular!
Small local ice cream factory and shop. 4 choices of cones plus a Gluten-free cone and tubs. 99 Flakes and fudge sticks and sauces. What more do you want? A walk up here or around the Common and you have well and truly earned the right to one of their fab ice-creams. The 'blackberries & cream' is my favourite closely followed by 'honey & ginger'. Go on! Give it a go. Very reasonably priced too. There is also some dog ice cream but our two mutts just weren't interested.
Lovely ice cream in a beautiful location. They have a number of different flavours which taste really good. They also do Frozzy frozen yogurt for dogs. Perfect as a start, stop off, or end to a walk on the common. There is a car park, and also parking available in the common.
First time visit, decided to stop off for a pre-walk ice-cream. It was absolutely delicious, they had a good choice of flavours. Particularly enjoyed the Xmas pudding flavour.
Simply the best icecream available anywhere. I literally drive 100 miles to get this and fabulous range of flavours plus a dairy free icecream too. If going for a walk when I'm down there it will have to go past this place on the way to an obligatory pub too. Very highly recommended.
Great selection of delicious ice creams including dairy-free options and gluten-free cones. The vegan chocolate is really good!
