I was tempted to purchase a new car as I've had my Audi Q5 for 6 years now, but with all the uncertainty in the world right now I decided it'd be better to give my current car some TLC. I took it to the Audi centre for a service and they had some "urgent work" that needed attention. After collecting my car I was mortified to see a potential bill of 6k if I wanted to proceed. Once I'd picked my jaw off the floor I politely said I'd ask for a second opinion. I'd used Winsford MOT centre last year and had a great experience, so I headed back over to see them. Firstly the team they have working there are always really approachable and easy to chat to. It always feels like you're in good hands. Anyway, I asked if they'd take a look for me and they got me booked in ASAP. They went through each area I'd mentioned and they wanted to make their own assessment of the work. Once it was complete they explained each change that was needed and cost it all up for me. I was genuinely staggered, the work outlined plus some extras they'd spotted was saving me 4k! It was reassuring to go to a local mechanics where you feel in good hands. I asked if there was any chance they could look at getting the work done the same week. It was done the next day! They put two lads on the car and got me back on the road before my paternity leave runs out. Genuinely first class service. I'll be heading back to Winsford MOT next time there's any issues, that's for sure. A very grateful. Steve
A good job done, really try and help out with fixing before replacing if possible to keep costs down, professional and friendly staff, I'll use again.
Excellent garage and service. My daughter's car went it for a service & mot, although some issues were identified, they were dealt with professionally and with cost in mind. I would have no hesitation in using them again. Thanks.
First time at a new garage for a MOT in nearly 50yrs. Was pleasantly surprised as the car failed and needed a repair, the quoted price was about £100. When I went to pick the car up they told me it was an easier repair than anticipated and would cost £30. Staggered by their honesty as I wouldn't have known either way. Well done Winsford MOT
Very helpful and very reasonable price and if they can fix it they will rather than just replacing it. Excellent garage
I was very disappointed to find that a quick alignment check on my wife's car after hitting a pot hole was charged at £36 including VAT for less than 15 minutes work my wife stood and watched the check take place but was even more disappointed when I rang to query whether the charge was correct to be spoken to in an abrupt and rude manner by the owner who aggressively pointed out that 'this is not a charity and you should expect to pay for the work to be done properly'. Nice one - you won't see either of us or our vehicles again. This check would have been free at Kwik Fit so we'll be using them from now on.
Guys were clear about what the time and price would be, did some little extras for free air in tyres, screen wash etc really helpful and will be back for the mot.
What a lovely Man! Having a right mare with my wipers all week bending and crashing into eachother, bought new ones yesterday and had a feeling it would crash and bend again, Winsford MOT centre soon sorted me out swapped my new wiper with a shorter one free of charge, will be coming back again! Amazing and fast service
I booked my car in for a last minute MOT and service. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Fast service, good price. I'll definitely go back.
