We loved our visit. Our little boy 3 really enjoyed it. Outdoor play area is really good, LOVED the bugs, birds, penguins and the dinosaurs! Indoor play area looked really good but gave it a miss as it was a lovely day to be outside. You could easily walk around twice slowly and take your time on the play areas. Absolutely fantastic day out. I haven't been for about 5 years and went today with hubby and a 12 and 17 Yr old. We all had a great time. Lots to see and if you don't see the animals on your first walk around you'll probably see them on your second walk around. Indoor play facilities for younger children. There's work going on at the moment but I can't wait to go back and see what they've done.
It's amazing how well this place has come along since it's early beginnings as a bird park. I haven't been here for about 7yrs and the additions they have made and are making are excellent. Disabled access is probably one of the best we have experienced at a zoo, although more disabled parking would be beneficial. The play areas are excellent, the staff and keepers are friendly and knowledgeable they obviously love their work. Pricing may seem a tad high for a small zoo but you can literally spend a whole day here so overall it's actually reasonable. Go, you will enjoy it.
We went on a Monday arrived during midday and four hours still not feeling enough. It’s not the size of the park that’s big, in fact it’s not that big at all compare to other Zoo. But we enjoyed it so much! There’s so many places for kids to explore and play - indoor and outdoor, the dinosaur park even us adults loved it + bug garden huge bug sculptures so amazing ! My son was going in and out of the Dino park 3 times and been to the soft play for over 1 hour. It’s just so much fun the animals all looking very healthy and happy the lions and tigers are so awesome and mighty We will definitely be back soon so we can go back to see the rest of the park cos we spent too much time at some areas and didn’t be able to finish the whole park oopsy I love this park mainly cos it’s like an all in one for kids - soft play+animal zoo+outdoor park+dinosaur museum definitely recommend if you have children if not then it’s great too! So many animals to see! I haven’t been able to take many pics of the animals cos I was too focus on looking at them with my own eyes Great to walk around! The staff have done a great job to keep the park so clean and neat
This was our first time visiting Wingham Zoo but this zoo was just so lovely! They had a fantastic selection of animals to see and the zoo was very clean and tidy. My Mum and I commented on see how well kept the animals looked. This zoo isn’t as big as some of the others however for us it was just right! They also had a lot there for children lots of play areas and activities and were in the process of building more too! We spent 5 hours at the zoo we had no children with us so didn’t even do any of those bits we just saw the animals. Overall a fantasist out will definitely be returning! Staff were really friendly too! 5*
Wow! Where do I start, this zoo is 100% one of the best zoos around. Let start by saying how lovely all the staff are, the zoo keepers are constantly and I mean constantly walking around making sure animals are all feed and clean and kept well. There enclosures are always being cleaned. Amazing! We booked the big cat experience for my mums birthday, where she got to feed tigers her favourite animals it was absolutely amazing Sarah the big cat specialist made the experience 100 times better, she was so lovely and so knowledgeable on the animals. She made the experience fun, comfortable and exciting, also having the best sense of humour making my mum laugh. Sarah you made my mums gift thank you so much Wingham Zoo are lucky to have you. Very good prices, good food! Veggie burger was restaurant quality. All round 100%. Even tho it was raining it didn't ruin the day. Thank you xxx
We have a yearly pass which we both love. Thought I would treat myself with a Tiger experience. Omg it was awesome - loved every minute. Would fully recommend Dawn who was amazing. She was so good with all the cats. She was full of knowledge and made my experience so good as made me feel so comfortable and at ease. The connection and relationship she has built up with them all is special to see. Love for Clarence is lovely to see- hes doing amazing after losing his brother Brutus.
A Great day out! My husband and I came here on Tuesday 23rd August to celebrate our 3 years marriage and as a celebration we arrange to feed the Otters. Had so much fun feeding this cuties. The two young ladies who guided us though the experience were so fun, helpful, full of smiles, happiness and gave us lots of interesting information about the otters. A great time had here. Definitely recommend for families with children. Good, fun day out! Unfortunately we were held back at the start as the line for entry was long and our experience started at 11.45, just a little suggestion, maybe have two separate lines for entries, one for general zoo days out and the other for experiences with the animals. One other thing I'd like to add is I think more signs around the zoo to help people find where to go, got a bit confusing at times. About 30mins before closing of the zoo, we decided to go back to see the Bears and Orangutans and wow, this is when they were at their best.. we saw the bear taking a bath and playing in the water and the Orangutans swinging the ropes. It was incredible,watching and taking in the moments, moments of nature, animal characteristics and behaviour.. for me it was just brilliant. We both had A fab day so thank you.
Had a great morning out despite the rain. Walk ways are clean and flat, easy to push buggies or wheelchairs. Animals very close to see. They seemed well looked after. U can pay extra for an animal experience where u can feed them. I think this has to be precooked. What a fantastic day out. Seeing all the animals and birds. Truly brilliant. My favourite are the giraffes but the meerkats are a very close second. The dinosaur Park for the children and big kids is excellent. Please go if you can, you won't regret it. There's also a soft ball play area for children but the animals are my favourite. We were there during the feed time which was special to see, with a lot of the animals close to viewing windows and areas.
