We were determined, even though it was rainy, there was a covered area downstairs on the boat, however we wanted to see. By the time we left if was just showery, perfect boat trip. Clean and safe. We loved it. Went on the blue route, £14 each and 45 minutes long.
Loved it! What an experience. We hired an electric boat for 2 hours, which I think was perfect, I think 1 hour would have been too quick. Love that children are free, with 3 children, that is a blessing. The views from the lake were so beautiful, I cant recommend doing this more, the only down side I would say is finding parking, we went to Lake Windermere twice, on a miserable day and a beautiful day, and the beautiful day was a nightmare to park. And then charges for the toilets which I really dont agree with. Its greedy esp when the toilets are just as disgusting as anywhere else.
Happened to find lakeside by mistake and parked up and spoke to the kiosk here who suggested I do the freedom return. Wow what a lovely day I’ve had. The boats were clean, prompt and comfortable and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Wonderful Windermere Lake cruise which is a 45 minutes boat ride along the longest Lake District 10.5 miles beautiful long lake. It is extremely cold and windy, although it was gorgeously sunny, so do bring along a warm jacket and bundle up real good. The boat ride is scenic, and the waters are calm. They sell hot drinks and other beverages if you need a cuppa to warm up. There are a few seats in the open upper deck. We were on the Spirit. Do join in this optional excursion in your tour.nHelen
We recently got married at Low Wood Bay on Windermere and we’re looking for something different and fun for our guests during the crossover from day to evening reception.nnWe reached out to Windermere Lake Cruises about taking all our guests out for an hour round the lake.nnThe boat arrived at the Jetty in timely fashion, the staff on board very friendly, the bar was open and eveything was spot on.nnThe service and the outing was amazing, we can’t recommend them highly enough. The guests absolutely loved it and highlighted it as the best thing at a wedding they’ve been too.nnWas an hour to remember cruising around the lake with music playing and guests having the time of their lives.nnThank you Windermere Lake Cruises, it’s something we will treasure forever.
