Visited today for brunch at the café inside and it was lovely. Really nice food and good atmosphere. Also huge praise to the man working we didn't catch your name who came and spoke to us about some local places to definitely see and told us about the statue outside! Really nice of you. Toilets really clean also.
A welcoming place for one and all. A fine example of how an imposing but excellent in it's day public library can morph into a wider community social and educational resource for a diverse clientele. A place to meet, eat, read, access IT and browse.
First time visiting since before Covid! More open space now. Friendly staff to help. We even enjoyed a relaxing coffee and cake, again served by x2 friendly chaps behind the counter. Recommend for a peaceful, stress free cuppa and catch up. Will not leave it so long next time.
The library is brilliant for kids. Lots of colouring in, comfortable seating and plenty of great books in good condition. The only negative was the food in the cafe was very disappointing. Ordered a jacket potatoe which had no butter and was almost cold and had been left out for a while so was very dry. Wouldn't eat there again but love taking my children to read and get books out
A great library and exhibition space. Good cafe with lots of areas to relax. Staff helpful and friendly also good support using IT
We visited on Sunday 18th August to do a workshop and see the Fred Applegate exhibition. A young member of staff spoilt our time in Winchester and at the Arc. Her social conduct discouraged me from looking at the exhibition I took pictures then i left. I have not had an experience like it in galleries in London or anywhere, i just despair .
What a lovely place to visit. Staff were lovely and the whole atmosphere was calming. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The whole place was clean and tidy.
Beautiful public library as a student in Winchester it's nice to come here for a change in scenery! it's nice they have the arc cafe for food and drink lots of study space and the gallery is beautiful! silent study spaces and communal cafe/table also!
A fantastic place. Fantastic exhibitions, shows, cafe and library. A must for locals abd visitors. Great statue too.
Visited The Arc for the first time. Had an excellent coffee served by very friendly staff. Clean premises and great outside sitting area.
