Extremely overpriced for what it is. £28 for 2 burger meals 1 large meal 1 regular no extras. Currently advertising meal deals that they are unable to offer. Burgers just average, good point you get good amount of chips I recommend to stick with McDonalds
Was OK. Table service surprised me because I assumed this was just a fast food place, but it does have a dinner atmosphere. They don't serve just hamburgers but also all day breakfast, fish and chips, milkshakes, etc. I'm sure the quality of the food was fine but the taste was quite average. I didn't wait very long, but i only saw one person cooking. I will try it again. Over all not bad, just not good.
McDonald’s should take note of how burger and chips SHOULD be. Yes it’s more expensive, but I’d always prefer something hot and fresh. The restaurant and toilet is spotless, the staff are friendly and the food is always 100% Ignore the negative comments. Home delivery food is always going to be cold, no matter what restaurant it comes from, and serves you right for being so lazy. Yes, this restaurant was takeaway only when it first opened and the staff were all new, so of course there are going to be teething problems. I have visited this restaurant many times, and in fact, I’m meeting a friend for breakfast there today. Wimpy always has, and always will put McDonald’s to shame. A big thumbs up to all you guys there, you’re doing a grand job.
Very nice and clean well it's still quite new and the lady who served me was helpful and friendly, but my cheeseburger was only OK, with a pretty thin beef patty. And adding regular chips and a regular latte pushed the price up to £9.70, which seemed expensive.
Even though I was told there would be a 20 minute wait for food, it was 15 minutes before my order was even taken! Slow service, worst coffee I've had in a long time didn't drink it.. mostly lukewarm milk with some cocoa dusting, international grill was overcooked. Avoid and go to a local cafe or even spoons for breakfast. Compare the photo to the menu and decide for yourself
Haven't been to a Wimpy UK for yonks last time was when they had one in Tunbridge Wells, so thought I'll try this one out that had recently opened up in Tonbridge for a bit of nostalgia after an early morning site meeting... Overall it was ok, but considering that there are a few places along Tonbridge High Street serving cooked breakfasts with a larger portion size and at a better price, I feel they could do better in this competitive market...
Where to begin. Going to wimpy was a road trip down memory lane. That turned into a full blown therapy session. Where they even removed the knifes for health an safety It took 10 minutes of us stood there to be sat down. And us not being serverd for a further 15 minutes. Only when we chased them up did we get served. On asking we’re they short staffed today it turned into a therapy session I hadn’t planned on having. I was Informed the staff were useless an one has gone off sick due to being heart broken. Whatever that means. Food turned up but only with forks as they had run out. By the time we finished our meal we were still knife free. Somethings are better left down memory lane
We ordered breakfast and a pot of tea. Walked out almost 40 minutes later as still no sign of our food. Waitress said it was because the kitchen was really busy however there were only 4 other tables seated! If they can’t cope with 4 tables I dread to think what the wait would be if they were full. We weren’t the first to walk out either
Went to Wimpy’s for our first visit and was surprised to get waiter service. It was nice to get cutlery and a plate. I know it’s a bit more expensive than McDonald’s but the burger and chips were very nice and I think more tasty than McDonald’s.
Wasn’t greeted on entry, sat down and was brought menus then the server walked away. We weren’t told if we order at the table or go over and order, asked and had a response 5 minutes later. Chips were freshly cooked but somehow COLD? Burger was well put together but the bun was damp on the bottom and dry on the top. Burger was tasty but paddy’s were cold. Won’t return again.
