Despite it being a grey day, I enjoyed my visit to the estate and inside the house. I loved the long view towards London and inside the house was interesting as well with some lovely rooms. There is plenty to do on the estate and it has the traditional National Trust tearoom and cafe which we enjoyed using.
We loved the experience. Wimpole is a very beautiful and educational place. Our only issue was that the restaurant menu contains mainly sandwiches and jacket potatoes, so not much choice. I do recommend this place. It is very good for a family day out.
Lovely site with great walks and things to do for all the family. Farm, garden and the hall itself are interesting. All the paths are well looked after with only steps into the house will affect wheel chair users.
Great day out! Accommodates for everyone. We did the 14km walk around the grounds, stopping at the ruins, the main house and one of the cafes. The only negative is we paid to go in, yet wasn't actually allowed in the house gardens with a dog. This really limited us to the cafes and only walking around the fields. I wish there was a different price for only "grounds" access as we paid full price to attend the "house gardens and grounds'.
Wimpole Estate is a wonderful place to spend your day with your loved ones. Wimpole Estate is really big and make sure you prepare to spend the entire day if you want to explore the stunning house, farm, estate and beautiful sceneries the estate has to offer. Wimpole Estate has a few cafes/ washroom facilities which is really nice if you want to have a break. I highly recommend you to become a member of National Trust and explore these beautiful attractions, houses, estates free of charge at your own pace. The staff are really friendly, helpful and respectful. Thank you
A great day out! Very busy in holidays though. A very grand house with impressive rooms and architecture. The upstairs should be open again soon. Worth walking up to the folly. Beautiful gardens and a decent, fair priced café, but a bit limited and slightly stressed out staff.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A lovely place, with plenty of parking and loads of places to explore! It's not a cheap place for a family to visit but there is plenty for the whole family to do including the hall, farm, lake and walks. The place is well maintained, as you would expect, and there is plenty of facilities. There is also a restaurant which we chose to get some food at although probably regretted it with the excessive wait wasn't a 5 minute wait or anything, much longer! Unfortunatly on our visit the adventure playground was closed.
Very beautiful place. This is my first time here and I would love to visit again. There is so much to walk and see here. I like that some sights in the house can be touched. There is a cafe and a garden shop, a bookstore on site. There is a pet farm. It is possible to buy vegetables grown on the farm An ideal place for a family with children. Free parking for National Trust members. No need to book in advance.
Lovely visit and first time in house which was well worth it overall staff/volunteers all good and polite. Food nice in restaurant not cheap but nice. Walled garden well worth a walk round especially with all the flowers out.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Wow, what a great place to visit on a crisp and clear winter's day. House was closed but grounds were open, entered into by the new car parking area including 12 EV charging pts and visitor entrance. See pics
