I am having an amazing experience in this school. Not only is the teaching quality very high, but also the social programm is great fun and offers a lot of different opportunities. It is hard to find a place where so many different nationalities are represented like in this school. I strongly recommend this school for everyone.

Wimbledon turned out to be the perfect place to spend time for English studying! It is a lovely quiet place, which does not feel like a city near of the crowded loud London. Here in Wimbledon I got to use my English and was able to communicate with people from all over the world! The lessons at school were always very enjoyable. Although new students arrived every week everyone could keep up easily without being underestimated. The focus during the lessons always lay on speaking or working with a partner or in groups. But we also did a lot of grammar and writing exercises. We often compared different themes, words or expressions in our native language with each other, which was very interesting. One of the advantages of living in Wimbledon was to be so close to London. Almost every evening I went there with friends by train or underground. Whether we went to the theater, the cinema or just walked around in the streets, it was always exiting and we had a lot of fun. Being around people from all around the world, I always had to talk English. To sum up I would definitely recommend the Wimbledon School of English. I had a wonderful time here, pushed my English to the next level and I met some wonderful people. It is a great opportunity to study in another environment with other teachers, methods and possibilities. I think even students who are not fond of the language will learn to like it.

(WSE was really busy during my stay. Most students are from Taiwan, Saudi Arabia or South America. The Student accommodation in kings lodge is definitely not luxury, because I had mold in my bathroom. For short term students it is quite hard to get involved in London traditions. I will recommend a host family for accommodation. Furthermore the business and professional class is less challenging and not academic. Normally the stuff is nice and friendly, but depends on the person/teacher. I was looking for an academic course, so i were more disappointed about my stay in Wimbledon.) -> that was my first impression But the teachers took time to speak to me again. So they definitely keep care of you. I really appreciate it!!

IELTS; Poor sound quality, high ceiling room with echo..60 percent of candidates complained about it, I have reported before starting the exam to reduce echo And they responded "this is the best we could do". I also wrote a complaint, as a result I got poorer result, this caused me to get poorer result!! proved to me that scoring is not fair by IELTS officials because of the complaint placed!! I have reason to believe this because I saw my speaking results when the invigilator wrote on score card for each section but result card my score was reduced by 1 point.!!(unfair)

I would like to thank Helen Merritt and Helen Dennis Smith for effective delivering the Teacher Refreshers Course. The material was useful and practical. After the programme I took the TKT exams. I'm pretty satisfied with the results (Module 1 & 2 band 4, Module 3 band 3). For information, Band 4 is the highest, it shows extensive knowledge. Band 3 shows a breadth and depth of knowledge.
