Run by Cross Country rail service. Good thing you can get trains for Birmingham, Nottingham & Cardiff from this station. Staff was available for any kind of help.
A very small basic station mainly of use to those in the local area. There is a small car park on the opposite side of the road to the station. Wilnecote railway station is not staffed at any time of the day.
Not pleasant! A complete nightmare, if you can, go elsewhere! One train per hour into Birmingham which is over subscribed and at maximum capacity! I never manage to get a seat, the passengers who board at Wilnecote feel more like they are on the tube, very cramped and squashed together. The train fare on this 10 min journey is 3 times more the cost of similar journeys from Birmingham stations, its a rip off! One plus, it now has a fast ticket machine at the station, so you can purchase a ticket before you board. If not you will be very lucky if a Ticket Master will be able to get through the carriage so you can buy a ticket on the train, more often they cant get through and you end up waiting for 30 mins at New Street in a queue just to get a ticket so you can get out of the station. I really wouldnt recommend, unless you are desperate!
Small unmanned station with hourly trains to and from Birmingham. Despite other sources stating otherwise there is a ticket machine and a car park car park is not 100% official and has no cameras and is a target area for vandalism. Probably not the most useful station if you are in a rush but serves the local area well
Basic station, 2 platforms with shelters on either side. Sadly there is no way to buy a ticket, there are no automated machines so you have to reply on buying in advance or on the train. Trains to birmingham every hour, except Sunday's there is about 1. Nice clean station though.
Good station . 2 platforms . Trains going to Birmingham , Derby , Nottingham and Cardiff central . So covers good distance of country. Live local to it . Only 2 minuits to tamworth high level . Clean nice station overall . Fairly big car park just over the road .
How can anyone who is disabled use the train service to Birmingham. Impossible with such narrow stairs . So unfair never be able to use a train again
Tickets must be bought on train which is rare but more usually at arrival station which is a pain but can allow for easier fare skipping if there are no barriers at your destination
Small but very convenient
