Everyone we have met at Willows have been amazing. The hospital is an amazing facility with vets that truly care about your pets welfare. My Lanson has received the best treatment available for a melting ulcer and have supported me to get the best possible outcome for his condition. Thank you Willows and all the amazing staff.
On the 14th September our cat, Juno, was referred to the Willows by our local vet as she had been in a horrific accident. Eugene and Will performed emergency surgery that day, and then they, Hollie, and Yolande cared for her round the clock, along with the ICU nurses and other staff. The communication we received was phenomenal and we were kept up to date on Juno’s well-being and progress every day. It was so reassuring to know that Juno was in such capable hands and was being looked after by people who truly care! Thank you for saving our cat, we will forever be grateful. Thank you so much!
My little sausage peanut was transferred to willows from my vets with suspected meningitis. Soon as I got there Christina called me in and did examination on him. I’m no vet but I could see it was detailed and she explained along the way. She also suspected meningitis and was honest with me from beginning with the price and it was likely peanut would not survive anaesthesia and a dnr was put in place. Peanut was only 14 months old and luckily I had insurance, but knew it would go over but my concern was peanut and I told her to everything she can. Thankfully peanut woke up and survived. Things were touch and go and after a 3 hour wait she confirmed it was meningitis MUO. Peanut was in icu and she let me see him. Next morning I had a call with update and peanut was not improving and asked if she could do chemo fusion. What was I going to lose I said go ahead. She let me see peanut that day but I couldn’t touch him. Next day the little fighter had improved! Christina gave us details on next steps and was honest about costs and different options. I chosen the best treatment which was the chemo fusions. Peanut has had his 3rd chemo fusion today and is doing amazing considering he was at deaths door. We would highly recommend willows as the care is the best. They are professional and honest. Christina is an amazing vet!! And some things I didn’t understand she explained a different way. I always get a call with updates when he has his over night stay. Not just Christina but all vets who have dealt with peanut have been a blessing. Regarding costs all vets are expensive, but peanut is in good hands and I have faith they will do all they can
Exceptional treatment from the moment we walked through the door, all staff couldn’t be more helpful, The care and and attention they gave to Dave was amazing constantly give me updates on how he was progressing. I would like to that everyone who has help get our precious Dave back to us
Hollie and team at Willows took exceptional care of Loki when he needed emergency surgery. The pro-active communication to keep us updated provided us peace of mind as well as the empathy shown throughout the process.
The worst experience ever! Our dog was referred to here on a Saturday out of hours with high temperature and feeling very lethargic, we were told our dog needed to stay in for IV and white blood cell tests, the vet called in the morning to say they wasn’t sure what was wrong with him but he would need to stay in over the bank holiday weekend and see the specialist for suspected endocarditis, me and my partner both confused as he was showing no symptoms of this, I kept pointing out his eye discharge and running nose but this seemed to be dismissed. After tests were taken we were told it was showing inflammation somewhere but this could be from a virus but was then was told he has an enlarged heart but that can be common in spaniels, as you can imagine we was worried sick he is only 8 months old! She then said as it’s the bank holiday weekend I’m not sure if the specialist will come in so it will likely be Tuesday, how much is your insurance covered up too! We said £6000 she said this type of service under the specialist will be between £5000-£6000! We had read a lot of negative reviews regarding them exploiting people, and we went with our gut and said we are going to go to another vet on Tuesday and we want to remove him from the hospital! She said Winston is very sick! He hasn’t been eating! Previously I was told he was eating and drinking absolutely fine, thank god we listened to our gut, we took him for a second opinion on Tuesday and was told Winston had a virus and would need a course of strong antibiotics, Winston has now fully recovered after 6 days went back for a review at the vets and cannot thank them enough for actually diagnosing our dog and getting him the correct treatment! Myself and my partner were crying all weekend thinking we was going to loose our dog because of suspected wrong diagnosis being thrown at us! Please avoid this vet at all costs! We could have paid £6000 for something he didn’t need which cost £160 at a local vets. Something is definitely wrong here? So here is a picture of Winston 6 days after visiting willows vs when we were on route to willows!
Holly and her team did an amazing job with Charlie on his paw following his accident. Amazingly professional but at the same time very caring and clearly love animals. Holly updated me everyday on Charlie’s progress. Highly recommended.
Out of hours emergency and nothing short of perfect. The staff, nurses and vets were exceptional in the final hours of our dogs life. Offering him the very best care, whilst also providing us the most lovely reassurance during the process. The Vet, in particular, was incredible. We can’t thank you enough. Rach & PJ xx
My cat Bardi was admitted speedily through critical care. We saw Natasha first who was very thorough and kind whilst collecting history from me. Natasha explained what would happen and costs involved along the way. Once Bardi was admitted I had many phone calls from Lucy who was very kind and patient as I kept crying on her! Lucy explained options in great detail and gave me time to discus with family members. Lucy was approachable and I felt Bardi was getting first class treatment. Thank you to all the staff at Willows for looking after my Bardi, it is much appreciated.
The vets at Willows have vastly improved my cat’s life. He has been seen by three different specialists who have ended years of medical issues and discomfort. Consultations and treatment are expensive, but the vets at Willows solved my boy’s problems first time - he has seen several vets over the years who have not managed to fully treat his conditions so I consider the bills to be money well spent. He is the healthiest and happiest he’s been for a long time. The practice is clean and orderly and appointments have, in my experience, always run on time. The waiting room is spacious so if you have a nervous pet you don’t have to sit close to others. The vets and medical staff are very knowledgeable and happy to explain in as much detail as you want, and - more importantly - they get results for your pet. My only issue is with the added charges for submitting insurance paperwork. I’ve been charged anything from £15 to £50 for admin at each appointment. Willows are the only vet practice where I’ve ever been charged for this and it seems expensive considering it can’t take more than a few minutes to submit the paperwork. However, this is my only negative feedback as I’m so thankful to the Willows team for improving my cat’s life and health so substantially.
