At the end of the job Nigel hadn't replaced sofit vents I explicitly asked him to retain, and he argued and argued and argued that I didn't need them. I had explained I paid to have them put in 2yrs before due to damp, and the 3 surveyors were correct, the vents fixed the problem. Nigel wouldn't accept this, and made up "facts" about bitumen roofing felt i.e. tar being breathable, to make it seem he had consciously decided I didnt need the vents. I even generously offered to pay for his time to come back and put them back in, since he whined about his money problems so much, but he was too proud. I am now having to pay someone to put them in again. Very disappointing.
