Went into SKEGNESS store on Wednesday with my dog, usually Wilco allow dogs except for food aisle. I’d just got inside doorway when a member of staff said dogs only allowed if you carry them! What sort of rule is that. Although my dog is fairly small I didn’t want to carry it, and it doesn’t like being carried either. What do disabled or infirm people do? Hoping this isn’t the new company policy!
Disgraceful customer service! Served by Gail extremely rude. I just spent over £40 on various metal paints . I'd almost forgot to put one of the tins on the counter when paying. I was struggling to carry them and had put one on hood of my pushchair. There was literally a 10 second pause after putting the first three tins on the counter when I gasped feeling anxious about almost forgetting to put the other tin down. To which Gail said "which one did you just slam down" I most certainly did not slam any of the down it was a genuine pause. I staff also swearing loudly comming in and out of staff area. This store was recently reported to be soon closing down I'm truly not surprised with how unprofessional they are I won't be shopping in this particular branch again. Nothing like my local store where the staff are incredibly friendly polite and helpful. Wilkos Skegness you should be ashamed
What a crying shame this branch is being closed down. The staff are devastated, makes no sense to me as this shop is always busy. Best wishes to all the lovely workers.

Shame its closing down... not much left in sale
Everyone already knows the variety of product types Wilko stores typically sell, but what may surprise you is just how much of that they manage to offer in the Skegness branch considering it's smaller size. They have verything from toiletries, household, kitchenware & hardware to seasonal ranges including gardening. I generally use Screwfix for larger purchases, but I use the hardware & decorating section all the time, as it's especially useful for when I just need smaller quantities or small items like primer, fittings, screws etc, or maybe a specific size drill bit, and the prices Vs quality is pretty good. The downside of offering so many different ranges, is the choice is slightly more limited for each category due to lack of space, in particular their stationery, but can usually find what you're looking for. Staff are generally excellent in here, always friendly, and helpful when needed, and their Covid safety has been very good throughout, I remember back when they had queuing & limited customers instore to 5 at a time!. It's because of that, I find it hard to believe the news that this store is possibly one of several marked for closure, considering Wilko have been lucky enough to remain open throughout the pandemic. Either way, it's a very useful store which I use a lot, so will be sad to see it go if true.
