I purchased a wooden bistro set and was very pleased with the quality and price. Most important, the customer service was first class from team member Sam, who helped me all the way to the car to get it home.
I went in and got everything I wanted. A mix up at the till ment I could have saved £17 but I'm to honest for my own self and told the check out girl.
Wilko has had empty shelves for so long now, they used to be the go to place for most things but sadly they have slipped badly, their prices have increased beyond other stores of a similar ilk, case in point Kiwi shoe polish in Wilko £1.55 other store £0.79p, in addition when I was looking for a drying towel for my car Wilko was £6, the same label item at a motor store was £2.99!! massive disparity in prices. In today's economy people are more savvy and unfortunately seem to have voted with their feet and now frequent a very fast growing retailer with stores in the UK and Europe who sell much the same as Wilko but with keener prices. I understand that recently Wilko has made a loss in excess of £30m!! Also that they have replaced top management so hopefully they will turn the tide which will not be without difficult decisions being made including a possible reduction in their current estate which is regrettable but necessary.
Staff here were amazing, I only went in for a shaving mirror and left with a lawnmower and strimmer for half price, totally forgot about the shaving mirror Staff members names that helped us were Kathy and Monty. They were polite and excellent sales persons. Well done!!
Opens at 8.30am which a plus for early risers who want to miss the crowds around that end of town. The usual great prices that you'd expect in these stores and shelves always full. The new queue system for the checkouts works well, though sometimes you need to expect a bit of a wait. The customer service till is sometimes opened to help with the rush, and although it's not really designed for it, the staff always pack our bags for us....so no complaints!
Nice big store, plenty of choice and a decent amount of parking
As usual with going to Wilko we went to buy only one thing and came out with a bag full. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the isles are good and wide easy for me to maneuver my scooter around. Looking forward to our next visit. We were in today and as usual bought more than we originally went in for. Love this shop.
Good wide range of items and reasonably priced
Not to busy, got what I wanted. Not so many tills on the go sadly. Maybe short staffed.
Lovely place to shop the Christmas decorations are lovely very well priced
