My five star rating isn't aimed at anything but the great staff and great stores that are Wilko. It deeply saddened me to see what is happening to this chain of stores first hand. The empty shelves reflected something dystopian, the few customers in there seemingly searching for bargains without thinking of the thousands of fellow humans who may be about to lose their jobs, their livelihoods. It's amazing how the vultures circle to prey on other people's misfortune. Very, very sad
Not just a hardware store but stocks items ranging from: toiletries, gardening equipment and seeds, seasonal toys, kitchen utensils and appliances, bedding & photo frames. Also available to order is a wider range from their website and from this online platform you can have items delivered to store or to your address. In store there's also a minimum range of foodstuffs. It loses a star from me as it can be frustrating to see the item you want on the website only to find they don't keep that particular item in stock in-store.
Got a couple of sauce pans to go with a couple of the same kind of frying pans I already have off my parents, these pans make up as a matching set now!!! They're alot better than my old set! N I tallied up the prices n still got them cheaper!!! Good bargain as I was going to get a set at argos, but didn't need another frying pan, plus they were I thought alittle expensive, so, now I've got a bargain, alot cheaper than argos Thank you Wilko's!!!
Sells nearly everything that you need all year round. Helpful staff, they even order things online for you to collect and pay instore
You’re gonna be well missed from the high street and online.Wilko was great at Christmas time. Great bargains from toiletries to paint and more the dogs gonna miss all the dog toys from Wilko shopped here for years feel bad for all the staff such a shame I’m gutted there closing do hope someone can step in and buy them sad times
My wife was short changed by £10 yesterday , girl in checkout Leanne said the till can’t be wrong? She just wasn’t interested My wife only had £20 notes but got change from a £10 note. In effect she stole £10 off my wife. We just phoned the store the day after Saturday 21st to see if the till was over which it was apparently by £10 said girl on phone who then past us to Leanne who said it was only 10p out. Disgusting to think no redress can be had at this branch. They refused to check the cctv so can only conclude that they are at it. Hope Head Office read this and investigate. UPDATE… Have complained to Head OFFICE so will update shortly 22/1/23.. Update 18th April…zero help
Staff very pleasant ,friendly and helpful. Been going here for years now. Moved area but still my favourite one to go to ,and it also helps me as ive become disabled over the past few years and I know everyone .there's smiles , hellos all around and support is always there Best one all round. As Well as the fact its in my home town the place I grew up in . Familiar people and place/place's helps me tremendously .
Called into this particular Wilko’s today Thursday 8th September and was served by the most miserable and rude cashier that I have ever come across. Her face was set with a sheer look of disgust Wether she had got out of the wrong side of the bed I don’t know But I am sure if she reads this she will no who mean ,and if you want to keep your job I suggest you put your face straight
All ways loved this store....always have, toiletries all reasonably priced,kitchen wear, pet food, paint wallpaper, ... don't go to the upstairs till thou, one of the staff not all of themis a proper grouch, she had a mask on, glasses, protective screen, to busy passing the time of day with customer in front, stopped and stood up and told us all to get way back behind the line...if she could have been quicker my arms loaded with items would not have felt as thou they was dropping off... go down stairs!
This used to be my first stop for my DIY requirements. There was a change in direction to a more upmarket home department store, resulting in a significant drop in other stock items. I believe in shopping locally and obviously at this store, but I do not shop here as often as I used to.
