This is a hidden gem in Runcorn, it's surprising how many people aren't aware of this place. It's great for photography, Pokemon GO If you're into that!, dog walking, cycling, running.. the views are great especially in the summer months. Definitely my favourite place in the town.
A regular haunt for dog walkers and good for an hour or so stroll. Interesting to walk under the Mersey gateway and look across the reed beds spotting birds. Lose a couple of stars due to litter, the visitor centre now being abandoned and a little bit of disrepair.
Really good place to come for a walk or even some cycling/running. A nice walk along the canal path towards Warrington. Absolutely peaceful on a warm afternoon.
Great place for a stroll, good views over Merseyside estuary, free to park.

Been here for 20 years and my first visit. Walked under the new Mersey bridge and got a low down and close up view of the river mersey. Nice ciruclar walks, would be great for a jog, dog walk or a bit of outdoor exercise. Parking is good.
Stumbled across this place by accident. The start of the big ditch.
Great place to visit, free parking, tarmac paths, green open spaces, picnic tables, bird hides, amazing views of the new Mersey crossing bridge! Woodland trail as well. Dog friendly!
