Always using wickes for something, and I find them good value for money often cheaper than build centers for some stuff, not just a place for the diyer useful for trades too, and don't forget if your a trade/business they have a discount app that you download and show them, for further 10% off, which certainly can make a difference.
Very disappointed. Contacted the Wickes Rushden store to get a quote on a new study. 2 other companies came to do a home visit within 48 hours but Wickes wanted to do a zoom call instead a week later which isn’t much use so I requested for them to do a home visit which they accepted. The gentlemen who came to visit was nice enough and professional but he could not provide me with a CAD plan and a quote there and then despite the other 2 companies being able to do this straight away . I did explain I ideally need this quote asap as I don’t want to keep the other companies waiting. He booked us in for a store visit nearly 2 weeks later. Nevertheless I was prepared to wait to ensure I keep my options open to get the best possible quote. I then got a call on the day to cancel my appointment due to noise and work being completed in store but the lady promised he would send over the quote and study plan the same day. A week later and still nothing. Hence now not interested regardless of the cost and went with another company who have been fantastic throughout and deserve my business.
Made an appointment for a kitchen designer. He rings 5 minutes before he was due to say he was running approx 10 minutes late. Eventually turned up 45 minutes late. Needlless to say we won't be using Wickes at Rushen.
Not exactly sure if I have bought the right thing Nor am I sure it will fit in the car I've bought 5 of them tho at £5 each, some of the similar looking things cost £12 each so I'm happy with my spend. The chap at the till was awesome, - not sure of his name but he seemed very much like a Kyle to me. Now I'm heading home to use my new plastic strip purchase to build my BBQ enclosure... Look out burger town - ima coming for ya
DO NOT USE. Absolutely appalling service. Unfinished work and trying to get support from the store and customer service was a NIGHTMARE. Lacking in honesty and integrity telling me my build was finished when is utterly false! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID never had any issues like this with Wrenn
Got what you need for most DIY projects at reasonable prices
I have had shocking experience from this store in Rushden, I called up as my two kitchens haven't arrived, previous to this I have had trouble with the delivery's but I was assured that everything was going to be okay. As I explained my situation to the man in Rushden called gary on the phone he said very rudely no need to have an attitude as I wont be dealing with you; I am a professional person and didn't have an attitude when it comes to work, due to this negative response of the worker at Wickes he hanged the phone up on me which is very un professional. I then called back to cancel my order cause I don't expect to pay money into a business which has appalling customer service and file a complaint, this then ended me to get cut off again when I introduced my name. I have been told I cannot get a refund which is a disgrace, I have called the customer service number a number of times to try and resolve this and my line just keeps getting cut off or put on hold then ended. I don't expect this type of service when I am spending money at a well known business, I will never be coming to this place again. if i had the option to give 0 STARS then i would've - The staff in this place are rude, unhelpful and un professional. Don't waste your time here.
The staff are all ways ready to help. Plenty of choice.
Useful, but no cutting service, so my wood purchase had to be snapped to fit in the car. Next time I will take a saw and cut it in the car park.
Normal ish DIY store with a terribly bad website. Good luck on finding what you want on it. Maybe if you're bored, try its search and see what it comes up with.
