Wickes has everything you may need for your DIY projects. I find that they are more expensive than their competitors, for alot of things now. They are not as cheap as they used to be. My advice is to shop around first. They are promoting their own products now, so they mark-up the prices of the known brands and sell theirs cheaper. Its no different than what all the other major stores are doing, but what it means is that you can get the known products cheaper elsewhere.
I visited the store today at 2:15 PM, and I was extremely disappointed with the level of customer service. I was genuinely shocked by the experience.nnFrom the moment I entered, there was no engagement or acknowledgment from the staff. A group of employees stood behind the cash register chatting among themselves, seemingly more interested in amusing each other than addressing customers. Not a single person acknowledged my presence, which I found surprising and unwelcoming.nnThe most shocking part of the visit was at the checkout. I was served by a woman named Cathy, who continued her conversation with her colleagues while ringing up my items. This behavior struck me as highly unprofessional. When I asked for bags, she responded abruptly, saying they didn’t have any, in a manner that felt dismissive and rude.nnThis level of service has made me seriously reconsider giving my business to this store. I would rather inconvenience myself and pay a bit more elsewhere than return to a place where customers are treated with such disregard. A truly disappointing experience.
Wickes has been a life saver many times when I've needed a DIY or decorating item late evening in an emergency.nStaff are always helpful and the store has a large range of products.nCar parking is no problem
What a super place for every single DYI stuff.nBathroom stuff, wood, paint, plastering things, drill machine and the other tools.nVery good place as our local.nThere are more things you can find here.
Staff not very helpful. Isle blocked off by staff. Why not do this when store is closed. Stood there a good 25 mins but isle never opened.nnSo took a trip to B & Q to purchase what I needed.
