Would avoid, unless absolutely necessary. If you're going for the Post Office - you will have a trouble-free experience, as the process is usually quick with lots of friendly staff.

Though be prepared to battle your way past annoying sales staff flogging anything from broadband to TV services, on your way in AND on your way out. This WHSmiths has a long legacy of allowing this practice. And it is annoying.

Good selection of books and stationery also had post office counter

I came for the post office that is here, long cues but the self service is a good idea and saves you time
