CLOSED! This store is now sadly closed, as we don't want to read newspapers and magazines anymore. We all want to stare at out phones. Until we realise it would be nice to read that cycling magazine that we haven't read for a few years that was quite a good read, much better than any site on the internet. So we go to look for a newsagent, but they're ALL CLOSED! Doh!
This was the WHS at Westfield Stratford. This is a stationery shop part of a chain which sells a wide range of stationery, pens, calenders, diaries etc. It also sells books, cards, sweets, gifts etc. I used a mobility scooter to get around as I am disabled you can hire them from the concierge desk nearby. The shop itself was reasonably accessable, though some of the isles were rather narrow. Quite a few of the isles had extra stock at the ends, making turning the scooter awkward. Previous experience taught me not to attempt the winding queueing section by the tills, as it is not wide enough at the bend to easily turn. The assistant said that next time I could avoid the queue and go round to the end till on the right hand side to be served. This I did, this time and was served with no issues.
Far from the best branch of WH Smith as the selection of books and magazines available is paltry. Some magazines are too high up to be able to reach them. The staff, however, are fine, and the store clean and tidy.
Great place to browse and buy. Glad to see Smith's still going strong

Lovely store, well stocked and great customer service.
Good for getting your Stationary/Magazines/Newspapers/Sweets.
Everything seems overpriced but shop is clean and organised
Not bad a bit small staff helpful
