Long and big shop, lot of collections.. less busy all the time. A free cash machine outside.
There's always empty shelves round by the books towards the back of the store, some of which need better organisation in their relevant categories especially round by the travel, history, sport and biography sections. Prefer the branch in Reading Broad Street.
The staff are very attentive and are always doing something, whether it's cleaning the store, on the tills, setting up stock, or helping old ladies find what they want. Very fast at doing the lotto, getting through the queues and has a wide range of stationary and back to school items.
Rude old bint working there wasn't happy when I walked the whole store and only bought chocolate
Bookstore, lots stories books. Travells books. Good to roaming about in town centre and had a lovely times. Go check is out. Having fun.
A well organised book shop that caters for many different requirements from stationery, notebooks, address books, students needs, drawing equipment, cards for all occasions, pens,& of course, literature! Aimed at lovers of novels, documentaries,or scientific studies. All laid out & clearly labelled.
Went in for one thing and came out with 5 ! Has such a wide range of products that you never see elswhere. How do they manage stock of so many low cost and daily changing products. Take criticism but as the product costs are low it must be difficult to make a business. Think, where else could I go.
Having worked for WHSmith when I was at college I always hope the company thrives. I'm afraid after visiting this store I understand why they are not doing so well. Very depressing and just a mismatch of stock. Another falling giant. Will only use again for the Post Office
Its certainly not the best WHSmiths I've been in, not that any immediately spring to mind. It's uninviting and would be greatly improved with warmer lighting - your much better off popping to Waterstones around the corner! The post office needs more checkouts, the ques are always large and no transactions seem to be fast. You'll probably be waiting 10 mins at busy times of the day!
Post office is slow and not too friendly It took me 20 mins to get a stamp and post a letter. The shop area is nice people but not enough of them.
