WHSmith is a convenient place for a variety of needs. They offer a wide range of products, from books and stationery to snacks and magazines. While it's not a high-end boutique, it serves its purpose as a reliable store for everyday essentials. The staff is generally helpful, and you can find useful items here, but don't expect any unique or specialty products.
A good selection of books and other items. Store is clean, staff are friendly and helpful, but prices are simply out of this planet. Riddiculusly high - and this is why I don't buy much stuff from this store. Extremely disappointing. Would not give 5 stars unless they lowered all prices by at least 40%.
Post it notes where priced at 3.99 with a 3 for 2 offer but at the till the offer did not apply. I had to inform the cashier and they had to go look to see if I was telling the truth. I had to do the same thing 3 weeks ago which means they saw the price was wrong but ignored it and if people don't question it not scanning as 3 for 2 they would have made extra money from unsuspecting people.
Everything you need... lovely card selection and Xmas wrap...books galore which make for great stocking fillers. Went in to buy a new Filofax...NO FILOFAXES!!!! .. Still had a really good mooch around! Love Smiths....
Bad experience, perineum prices, sale they put wasn't even real sale, the clearance wasn't even clean price, All products were still in original pricing, then why would you call this a clearance? What's real, that's false not clear, which means more waste of time, Things we could find for £1, they are selling for £5.99, never again, books you could find and do research on computers are perineum prices
Not a bad WHSmiths. We all know the brand. It's not exactly set out so you can easily find things. Not what I would call a logical order. But they did have everything I went in to buy, so I can't complain too much. Staff are helpful, but need to be a little more descriptive when giving directions.
W H Smith used to be an interesting shop to visit. Not only did they sell a wide range of newspapers, magazines and books but they sold records, CDs, DVDs and all manner of other interesting stuff. Now the shops are dreary and uninviting with a much reduced range of items. Just as a matter of interest I didn't buy anything because they didn't have the particular category of greeting card that I was looking for.
You should check out the reduced section. Full of bargains with 90% off sometimes good for kids stuff especially. I like the staff too at rochdale they are always really friendly and really helpful
Glad you have stayed in Rochdale. Very well stocked. I can usually find what I want on the shelves. Check out staff very pleasant always but glad of self service also
Always well stocked with main stream magazines and newspapers. Very good book selection. Never been disappointed, always had what I needed.
