Can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather play. The course changes are fantastic. Remember the old layout well but it’s been maybe 12 years or so since I last played. Visually the new 5 holes are very clearly Different but they do play the same it’s pretty seamless aside from the look. Fantastic bunkering, a good range of options off the tee, nice undulating greens, lovely run offs, patches of Heather, uphills, downhills, short par 3’s, long ones, the lot! I can’t think of a bad hole. Very scorable in parts but can also punish bad shots. Clearly a few messy areas still with HS2 but what the club have done is fantastic. 10/10 and highly recommend. Once all the new holes are fully bedded in over the next few years it will be unreal. Very much enjoyed! Will be back soon.

Just brilliant. Played here for the first time since the major changes. What a fantastic course redesign and layout. The new holes have been built and designed beautifully. The course condition is excellent and the clubhouse is just wonderful. Can't speak highly enough of the welcome from the Professional and all the staff in the clubhouse. Highly recommended
What a wonderful experience this was. Yes the new first five holes are bedding in but are well presented and will be even better in a couple of years. Someone had previously said his Sat Nav. watch didn't work so what's wrong with using the old fashioned way of looking at distance markers. Don't let anything put you off visiting this superb course. The club house is something special and the members and staff are very welcoming and helpful. All in all a fantastic day. 28.6.22
Very nice course, superb new clubhouse and very welcoming staff. The new holes will be interesting when they're in play next year. At the moment you start on the old 5th hole and finish on the old 1st, which work nicely, I'd 100% go back to see if I could beat my score of +8 77
Great all year round course, very friendly and professional. Although HS2 has resulted in some disruption and the development of 5 alternative holes the club is looking good for the future, new holes come into play April 2022 and are looking good and quite challenging. Edit. New course layout is now in play for the 2022 season and it it as good as ever, a top tier golf club for all year golf, one word springs to mind.....excellent.
Unfortunately the reconstructed first 5 holes detract from what was a most enjoyable course. More like a links course with vast areas GUR. Long walks from greens to the next tee and significant lengthening of the distances. This means its a struggle for a four ball to complete in less than 4.5 hours. Might look better in 10 years but no obvious attempt to encapsulate what has been lost to HS2. DISAPPOINTING!
Lovely established course. In good condition for time of year Dec and greens whilst quick and undulating were a joy. Thoroughly recommend and get there soon before HS2 comes and takes clubhouse + 5 holes.
Very good clubhouse and excellent service . Great pro shop. Course severely lacking , will return in 5 years because that is what’s needed. Poor greens, scruffy all round, poor signage and no coverage for golf watches
