This is a lovely old town to visit for a day, or like us stay for a week for a holiday! There's plenty to do and see in the area and it has lovely walks and a beach! There's lots of shops around for everything, cafes and pubs! Has a car park in the town, which is a short walk from everything! There are lots of buses too, they go to Canterbury where you can get other buses all over Kent!!
Whitstable station is very basic station but in a good way. Fast service for London. Staff is good. Even I recommend to visit this place by train as it's a very popular place and parking can be difficult.nnIt’s a great place for fresh seafood and the people are very friendly. Very lively atmosphere too. A lot of pubs, cafes and restaurants are fine dining in real atmosphere.nnPebbles on the beach are not to sharp. So easy to walk at sea side. The views to the open sea is breathtaking. I felt in love to Whitstable so coming back again
Visited Whitstable while the weather was still nice. Went to the little Harbour Market, not all open but still pleasant. Different stalls selling all sorts. Had some seafood and a couple of Crab Sandwich’s and drinks from the crab&winkle takeaway very tasty. We walked around the town, and along the beachfront lots little alleyways, a fair amount of choice of pubs, restaurants and a diverse range of shops. All in all a good day was had. We walked back to the railway station to get the train back home. 15 or so minutes walk from the harbour.
Whitstable is a quiet peaceful place to visit.nI loved visiting the harbour and walking along the beach. Sitting outside the old Neptune Pub sipping on a Guinness watching the world go by.
About the train station: They have just two platforms, very easy! Also public toilets, an information center and a service to take/leave books!nnAbout the village: it is amazing!
