What a great venue. After living in and around Dundee for 33 years I just finally tried this place for the first time to go and see a comedian.nnIt’s a decent sized venue with lots of seating. It was quick to get in and out at the start and end of the show. The seating is very comfortable, proper old school padded seats that you just don’t really see anywhere anymore.nnThe bar is typical of these sorts of places: 5.50 for a fairly large can of tennents that wasn’t particularly cold. Think it’s just a volume thing.nnLocation wise it’s a little out the city centre but not so far away as to be troublesome. Lots of pubs and nice restaurants up the top of the Perth road which is a 5 minute walk ahead for food and drinks before the show.
went for my first time. lovely old theatre. staff helpful and friendly. didn't go to the bar but looked great.
Nice staff, lovely atmosphere and good selection of dishes. Unfortunately the dish I ordered hummus and roast vegetable ciabatta was very mediocre. Hummus did not appear to be homemade and the bread was very dry.
Great staff, lovely theatre. The meet and greet for the Alice in Wonderland adult pantomime was very well organised. The show was fab
Love the whitehall Theatre. Only problem is when it's full it's hard to get served at the bar or get to the toilet
