Recently started renting a propety from this place and everything was running smoothly... We still haven't fully moved in yet, but we have some valuables in the property.

Yesterday we entered our property to start moving our stuff in properly, to find a key from the previous tenants and a note saying how they'd enter OUR property with a spare key they just happened to find, they used this key to enter our house and take their post and leave the note... They posted the key.

I phoned Wakefield Whitegates to see why this was happening and why this was okay to do - Whitegates wanted nothing to do with it, I asked about changing locks, and they said they wanted nothing to do with that also - if I want to change the locks I would have to pay, how is this right? We don't want to move into our new home and find someone can come in and out freely...

How many more spare keys are there?

Horrible, horrible, horrible Wakefield Whitegates!!!!!
Renting a house at the Balne Lane street, everything is wrong. When we moved in a boiler was broken and we waited for repair 2 weeks. Two weeks in cold house without hot water.... but we have to pay rent every month. Then we had problems with shower. Again waited a long time and reminding every day about a problem.... very poor communication and a lady who is bossing there is very very rude. I hope I can find another property and don't see them never again!

Had an appointment to view a house with this estate agents. Arrived 10 minutes early and waited 25 minutes (15 minutes after agreed meeting time) before deciding to contact them. Was put through to a message system, left a message explaining that we were waiting outside the property. Waited another 15 minutes and no contact was made to even explain what was happening so decided to leave. Still not heard anything from them. Very unprofessional and would not want to arrange a tenancy with a branch that can not maintain good customer service for a simple viewing.

Extremely professional services throughtout the whole process. Couldn't have been easier to sell my home, all previous doubts of selling my home were immediately put at ease from the moment I stepped inside the office and greated by the friendly staff !

Quite possibly the worst place you could rent from. Repairs never happen, staff are rude and very unprofessional. It got so bad I took things further. Avoid at all costs if renting!
