A nice shopping area in the centre of town offering a great selection of shops. We did not have chance to visit them all today but have been in all at some stage. Could do with some better signage to the public toilets but apart from that it's a great place. Also enjoyed the markings in the pavement tiles indicating the excavation before it was built.

Right in the town centre. Good for every type of shopping, all major brands are there within the market. Food, clothing, books restaurants and coffee shops. Very busy place as the main bus station is next to it, what makes life a bit easier after shopping. Train station is quite far away. Sometimes there are seasonal pop up shops and market stalls.

The Whitefriars Shopping Centre has a good variety of shops, banks etc. but is very much of the late 20th century. It lacks life and interest, it is also unfortunately subject to a cold draft probably caused by the high rise buildings. There are often more people in the old style shopping streets nearby. Here there are market stalls and entertainers to give the streets more life and many shops both high street chains and small individual businesses.

Here you’ll find many familiar high-street brand names and big stores such as Fenwick and M&S. On-site car park provide several hundred spaces including family spaces, charging points and accessible bays. Note: the car park often fills up at peak times. A wide variety of food and drink options are available in one of the many food outlets. Not the place to go for independent shopping or local produce, but if you’re looking for high-street fashion and chain-store shopping, you won’t be disappointed.

A great place for shopping and eating. Great range of restaurants covering all tastes and budgets. You will find a shop selling pretty much everything you could need and with plenty of open space allowing you to wander at your own pace. I would recommend using the very well organised park and ride service which is well signposted from every route into the city.
