I was in the cozy double room and although it was cozy it was more than enough. The room was clean and the bed provided an excellent night's sleep. Both other rooms which the family had were clean and fresh. The staff were fantastic throughout the stay, the breakfast was a wonderful choice of healthy and cooked options. The fat Badger pub associated to the hotel has a wide range from Ales to cocktails. Again staff were fantastic throughout. Location is so handy for the town and the parking makes it so much more convenient to travel. Highly recommend staying
Stayed here with my partner this week for one night and it was fantastic. The location is amazing and the staff on reception was extremely helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Worth every penny. I recommend anyone to stay here, I stayed in the standard double room. The hotel is very nicely decorated with a lovely aesthetic in the reception area. The fat badger which joins onto the hotel is lovely also great food in the restaurant and a lovely pub.
Lovely big room in other building, huge bathroom with under floor heating, large windows, carpet heavily stained which is a real shame and woken a few times by people slamming the front door. Reception staff top notch as well as breakfast ladies. Breakfast selection was great, would stay again.Rooms: 4/5
Food was excellent. En suite was lovely - very modern but was let down by the three cracked floor tiles. Room carpet could have done with a shampoo but bedding was spotless as were towels. Overall enjoyed our stay.Rooms: 3/5
This was one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. The hotel's central location was perfect. Just a few minutes walk from the town centre. The bedroom was bright, spacious, and spotless. The bed was extra large and very comfortable. The ensuite was spacious, and the walk-in shower was excellent. The hotel staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful, especially the young woman who looked after us at dinner on the Sunday. Dinner was excellent. Great food and good portions. The bar had a good selection of cask beers, and unlike many hotel bars, it had a warm, friendly atmosphere. Our stay was excellent value for the money we paid. Food & drinks: Our evening meal was excellent. Plenty of choice, very well cooked, good-sized portions.
Rooms were extremely small and at night when the heat came on got very warm! Our room overlooked a busy street, and heard traffic back and forth until late. Staff was nice, but, the breakfast buffet was not good. Same thing every day, and eggs, frankly, we’re gross. The one big plus was the central location. Very easy walk into Harrogate.
Rooms are a bit dated but nice enough with plenty of room in a standard double. Couldn't get a seat to have a drink in the bar on either night as it was so busy. The hot tap in the bathroom scolds you & the tv won't get any proper reception for the BBC channels. Parking is £15 per night. Overall would return as it was reasonably priced with only a couple of minor issues.
Room clean and bed comfy but half the window blocked by a wall minimal natural light. Breakfast was manic, poor staff were meeting themselves coming back. Food was running out and not being refilled. Well placed for seeing the sites in Harrogate but not brilliant.Rooms: 3/5
i booked a cosy double for me and my partner and unfortunately that is not what we got. it looked like a twin room, beds were pushed together with no mattress topper, only a sheet so we could still feel the gap. furniture was chipped and didn’t go with the aesthetic of the hotel. bathroom was dated, looked like a wet room. I requested flowers for the room as part of my booking but unfortunately there wasn’t any flowers in the room.
First room I was allocated room number 123 was above the ventilation for the kitchens and obviously not quiet enough to get a good nights sleep in, receptionist wasn’t particularly helpful, only option was a £10 upgrade to a standard double. room number 305. Room was dirty, cobwebs in corners, filth around tap, dirty lamp switches carpet could do with a clean. The worst element of my stay was that I was kept awake by the rats in the attic! Informed receptionist of the problems upon departure today and was met with a dismissive attitude and a brief ‘sorry’. I do not do well with confrontation and so left. This hotel is cheap for a reason AVOID! Only saving Grace was the very smiley evening receptionist. Will be informing environmental health.
