Booked for a Birthday meal.nReally looking forward to a Rib eye steak. Didn't realise I had to cook it myself. Can't cook. Won't cook. Is my motto, that's why I go out.....nAny had a deep fried chicken burger, bacon and cheese. Fries, coleslaw.nTip top.nFriday night in the Vinyl room.nGroup of young people having an absolute ball.nListening to them chatter and singing made the night. 67th Birthday glad we went. Great to see the young have such a great place to go.
Driving through and pulled in at first place to eat. Not visually appealing outside or in but food was excellent, we have mushroom soup, baked potato, omelets and a pizza....all lovely, well cooked tasty and decent prices.nDon't be put off staff are great and food is tops.
Good food with an extensive vegetarian menu. For meat eaters, the bangers and mash looked amazing. Solid place to stay in a picturesque town as long as you can handle steep stairs. Car park in the square is free overnight as long as you move the car by 8am, and there's another car park nearby The Manor that's 5 pounds a day that can apparently be paid in after 6pm the night before, or 1.20 an hour.
Basic rooms but ideal for us as it was just somewhere to shower and sleep.nSunday lunch was nice although roast potatoes were a little hard on the outside. Garlic potatoes were lovely.nHot Rock steak is a brilliant idea
Only had food/drink there but good lunchtime choices on the menu
