Staff are friendly and the Sunday roast is excellent more to the point the roast belly pork is probably one of the best tasting bits if pork we have ever had cruncny crackling and melt in the mouth meat.
Second visit here. It's a very old rustic type pub, quite large really. Locals are very friendly and the pub is very dog friendly. Didn't try the food this time around but the menu looks good however the kitchen doesnt open until 6pm. Beer prices could be better. £6.90 for a pint and a half of bitter. £4.60 & £2.30 respectively.
A little tired and worn, dog friendly, quite homely. Beer is expensive, as is the food for what it is. I would drop in there in future for the odd pint but it is £1.30 more per pint than my local in London! I wouldn't bother eating there again as it is very much overpriced for what is afterall a small microwave meal.
Great family pub which I have now been going to for the past four years. Since the pub had new owners the food has improved 100%. The staff are warm and welcoming and don't rush you,and if they have time will spend more time chatting to you. Part of the pub goes back to the 17th century with log or coal fire place.Lovely and cosy in winter or Christmas time.plus there are no games or music machines. Great for going with friends and family for a quite get togethers. They now have a wonderful outside sitting and eating area, which was beautiful during last summer heatwave.
Lovely atmosphere roast dinner was excellent along with the Cauliflower cheese and plenty of it. Staff really helpful.
What a lovely pub. They have totally revamped their outside space to allow more people to enjoy the weather and it is really well done. They have a couple of ales on and several different lagers. Really lovely staff. Well worth a visit. I've been back since this review and it is still a great pub. Such nice people too.
Excellent family and dog friendly pub with very good beers and very well cooked food. Sunday roast probably the best in bexely village. Staff very friendly.
Sweet old style pub that’s dog friendly and an okay spot for a drink. But the roast dinners were awful; over cooked, dry, and I imagine, microwaved.
Haven't been to the White Cross for years so I was interested to see if anything had changed. Very warm welcome and good service from the bar staff. The car park is very large and meanders around the pub on three sides. The buffet It was for a funeral wake was excellent.
Rear where you park looks like tsunami just left, weeds, coal bags blowing around. Staff all eating same time next to us,,chef rolled ciggies after cooking our lunch,no tartar sauce for scampi meal, ceiling tiles hanging down.Wont be going back..
