Came for the Abbey and this carpark here is a the bigger option of two carparks. Close to the entrance and public bathrooms 40p.  There's plenty of parking spaces, nice and big. No problem for SUVs. They're all under the sun though. Fees are fair - there's no free parking even for members though, but we were aware of that.  Surely your best bet to park your car when visiting the Abbey. Easy and quick.

Very pleasant parking with amazing views of Abbey and surrounding countryside. Only £9 for 24hrs. Easy walk into busy Whitby streets with fish and chips and nice bars. We stayed overnight in camper with no restrictions. Wonderful

Don't visit after Dark.....     ‍  ‍ Bram Stoker has a lot to answer for... Steam Punks everywhere

The car park is nice & wide to manoeuvre around, well marked and plentiful. Stunning hill top views and right next door to the abbey & brewery to visit. The cherry here is after October winter no parking charges. Well done to the council for this decision as it promotes users like me to visit and spend money locally out of high season. I wish they would do the same for the main harbour car park. Better to have car parks being used with the overall local economy benefiting and just standing empty, again out of high season.

Don't appreciate paying £3.30 for 2 hours then paying £11.00 to get in to the Abbey. Abbey is fantastic would have stayed longer and spent some money I  shop & cafe, but had to leave for parking!!!!!!! RIP OFF £3.00 for day MAX.

Don't know about the cost in the summer as we went near Christmas when it was free but this is a great place to park to see the Abbey and then wander into Whitby.

Loads of parking and lovely views over Whitby harbour.The abbey itself is lovely but not really worth £11 each as there.s not much to see..

So conveniently placed for the Abbey Unfortunately the car park is run by the council, so your car sticker doesn't count. On the plus side you can pay for parking here and then go into town and stillness the same parking ticket. 40p for a toilet stop or if your going into the Abbey a free wee in the cafe.

Great ideal parking with a short walk to Whitby Abbey

This park is poorly signed and very poorly laid out, particularly for the blue badge holder. The first time experience left me confused and frustrated that I couldn't find somewhere to park near the shop.....the scale of charges are considerably higher than other places of similar popularity.
