Celebrated a birthday at The Wheel tonight after hearing great things about the food. It certainly didn't disappoint. Generous portion of liver & bacon with mash and veg just melted in your mouth. Steak & ale pie with chunky chips was enjoyed by the men of the group. The manageress was happy to allow us to bring a birthday cake and eat on the premises. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Pub has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and our little puppy was made to feel welcome and given a treat.
We highly recommend the local pub for food/drink. Such friendly staff and great atmosphere, reasonably priced and a well thought out menu. This is one of our local pubs we always choose to go to.
What a lovely place. It's nicely understated, with good service, good food at a reasonable price. As well as the main menu, there is also a specials board to choose your meal from.
Had a great lunch. Very tasty. Where were seated was a little cold at first, fire not lit at that end.
Great home made food. We have been a couple of times and will be back. Not expensive and well worth the money. Staff friendly and efficient
This pub, I understand, is under new management. My friend & I went for lunch & received friendly prompt service. The food was delicious & as we regularly eat out at pubs this food is well cooked & of a high quality. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing pub, the staff are highly professional and provide a table service that is excellent, the food is really beautiful, me and my friend travel quite a distance to eat here bit its worth it. I can't praise the staff enough at this wonderful family friendly joyful pub which me and my friend have come to love. 01/23 We've been going to this pub a number of years now, Last night we had one of our best nights out ever, the new management of the wheel are lovely, very engaging and made our night a lot better. The wheel is an amazing place to have fun, food and a happy time
