Lovely place to go. Always stocked up with stationary, although a little on the expensive side. I regularly go to WHSmith, Alfreton to use their InPost lockers here. It's a fast service and the staff are always happy to help. The InPost Lockers have never been an issue and parcels have always got to the recipient quick without fail! Can use the InPost Lockers with and without barcode/label. A receipt will be sent to your email after scanning the QR code on the locker screen with your phone.
They have most things Smith's sell in the big cities/shopping centres as it's quite a big store. Staff are friendly and if you're after the best range of books, magazines and newspapers in Alfreton this is where to come! It's right in the heart of town with parking nearby. Recommended.
Hardly any books asked the lady at the counter for two new releases but didn't have either. Only one person serving customers and she was run off her feet. Sigh
Lady on the counter was not very helpful. I then walked to another assistant to ask for a book, was told we don't have it and then 2 minutes later found it myself. Staff training needed!!!
Local shop is tired and in need of a makeover but helpful staff are an asset. Though they didn't have the book I wanted, they told me the cheapest way to order it.
Better shop than the one in Chesterfield. Actually stocks weekly and fortnightly comic books, still needs a better graphic novel section though.
Always loved WHS...but there's just one person serving, always a large queue, and no one about for advice etc.
Now permanently closed
Awful staff, confused layout better brands have disappeared from the high street
A nice place to take a break and look what is new in the literature world.
