There is no 0 rating post office counter 17 customers 1 attendant if possible go to ether Langley or Hollin post office counters as this on shows disrespect for customers WHSmith kick them out taking your shop down with them
This outlet is very weary looking and needs a refurb. The layout with the Post Office could be greatly improved, at the moment it is just a sad and characterless void with very little of interest to anyone.
Had cash only payment, which was really inconvenient.didnt point out free parking.staff talking to each other, and not us. Seats very comfortable, and clean. Didn't like groups outside when we came out.dont think I'd go alone.
WHSmith is on the ground floor. You can come into the shopping centre and walk down or come in from the ground floor. They are open to the centre without doors. The service was great! They have a post office at the back of the shop. Be aware that stationary they sell here is more expensive. You can buy cheaper in other shops in the centre.
Used the post office in Middleton branch to post parcels. Pretty fast staff so wasn't in there long. Most things that u need from a post office was in eye view and close to hand . Beats my local sub post office and cheaper on a lot of items
It's quiet, which was a kind of bonus for any one wanting to browse and physical distancing measures were in place; however, I still think the relocation of the Post Office was a mistake, but that's for another review. The Art section is well stocked and books are well displayed, staff pleasant and helpful. Smith's is like an old friend you go back to after a bit of a dalliance with someone else and I still like it, even if I find it expensive. I would also like to find a range of real writing paper and envelopes. Some of us still like to write..and receive...letters.
The book shop itself is nice.. the young man was only to happy to help me find what I wanted... the post office however Middleton branch.. the woman who served me was awful to me coz she couldn't work the electric card machine she insulated me and practically had me in tears... disgusting behavior.. still need to report this nasty woman to the manager..who conveniently was on "holiday "...
Although the items on sale can be significantly more expensive than other outlets selling similar items e.g. The Works, the standout feature that probably keeps customers coming back frequently - is the large variety & good quality of stock on offer. No other outlet can provide a larger variety of magazines to sell, for a start.
The staff were exceptionally swift and polite. Made me feel so much at ease. Would defenitely shop there again!
I'd like to say a huge thank you to Alexis who took the time and had the patience to help my mum who is in a wheelchair navigate her way through trying to get digital photograph done in your store. The last time we came in for passport photos another member of staff brushed us off and said the machine was nothing to do with them. Thank you Alexis you are a credit to WH Smith's!
