This was a very lovely aquarium! There was lots of sea life animals to visit and there was a water refill station and toilets. When I visited the kind staff let you touch a starfish and took photos for you to view. The most sensational part of the trip was the tunnel that you could walk through and view the passing fish etc from above your head! I recommend this place for families! Quick Note: it’s probably better buying tickets in advance.
We have visited here at least 4 times which shows how much we enjoy it. It is laid out well in grounds that are immaculate. It is much bigger than our local aquarium and our children thoroughly enjoying looking at the vividly coloured fish, the sharks and all that that they offer. There are regular informative talks and character visits for the young ones as well. We normally have a picnic in the very impressive adventure playground which is centrally based, there is however a Costa also on hand if required. Older children may become a little bored but for 0-8 I would say it’s perfect and you can happily spend 4-5 hours here.
Both my 2.5 years old boy and 7 month old girl enjoyed it a lot! Been to different aquariums and this one really surprised us with not only great sea creatures and beautiful tanks but also playgrounds and all sorts of activities. The playground is also sea animal themed and suits all age kids. Staff at the starfish area was really friendly and informative. She even took a starfish out so my girl can see it too on her push chair. It was also nice that we could return any time of the day so we can catch all the feed and talks.
Had an absolutely brilliant time such an array of sea life, greeted by a very friendly face who instantly made our trip even gifted a voucher for free hot drink which was a nice surprise! Was nice and quiet when we visited so made a very pleasant experience but I'd imagine it can get very busy in peak times. Café staff were faultless nothing was too much trouble and constantly cleaning felt very safe to be here. Staff around park were all very knowledgeable most notably the man working by the outdoor starfish rock pool area who told us many interesting facts. will definitely be returning again well worth a visit if you're in town.
Great family day out. Even in the Christmas holiday rain it was a lot of fun as many of the exhibits are inside. The aquariums are spacious and well maintained. I am not keen on small enclosures. They kept up the interest if even the youngest of our party, as well as having a great kids play area. I would really recommend it.
Lovely few hours here. It's quite different to other Sealife Centres we have visited previously in that a lot of it is outdoors. You go into an area and then go outside to move to the next area. It was a lovely sunny day when we visited but I imagine this wouldn't be ideal if was raining heavily. Overall we had a good time here and saw the sea lions being fed which is always fun
Lovely place to visit for the family. The animals are well looked after and look happy in their homes. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Seagulls are very aggressive. Stole food from our table as we ate. Which wasn't cheap to buy in places like this. Eat inside or under shelter Could do with better baby changing
If you love sea animals this is the place for you! Lots of wonderful areas for the kids to explore, learn and get lost “under the sea”. Also, must check out their sea life touching rock area with a bridge that floods the area momentarily in high tide! So much fun Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
One of the best sea life centre we have been to. Just disappointed we didn't know it shut at 4 until after we purchased our tickets online. We had to rush to see it all. But so much to see and do, could easily spend the whole day there. great play area to, and even a small water play area for kids.
Only one otter called Badger here at the moment. Luckily we arrived and were in time for the talk and training feed as he has been spending most of his time in bed because he's sad alone. Not sure if £24 is justified when compared to ZSL. Pretty cool to see the fairy penguins and other fish. The keeper at the touch pool was really nice and showed us some baby starfish in the pools
