Lovely place to go walking and you can take dogs with you. The car park is large and there's always been plenty of spaces free when I've visited. There's a cafe here though I've yet to try it. There are various walks to do. The nature reserve is situated just outside Retford.

Visited here on a day trip for the kids, was easy to get to and the map and arrows as you walk around gave easy instructions. The walks are long even the short ones especially with smaller kids, but was a good walk with some nice views of the lake and streams and woodlands. The play area isn't really a play area so not really worth it. Worth a visit if you love the outdoors!

Beautiful trails 4 in all around the reserve fantastic cafe really nice cakes, staff brilliant and lovely little visitors gift. Both the wife and I use powerchars the main lake trail is accessible as is the cafe some of the trails  have gates these are wide enough for a large mobility scooter some are locked but if you have a RADAR key you'll  get through. In summer I  often go over with a pair of binoculars and my camera. It's nice and peaceful. If you're  into bird watching you  can see a wide variety of bird life on the lake.

Very nice walks of different levels all colour coded  follow arrows Cafe by lake is nice way to end a walk but dogs not allowed. Small play area.Visited onWeekday

Huge nature reserve! Loads of birds, other wildlife and animals. What a beautiful tranquil place to walk. You can make your walk as big or as small as your capable of. Highly recommended

Lovely walk and stop off for coffee.  Different walks we did the yellow following the lake and the purple both shorter as there are two longer walks also.  Very pleasant. The cafe / shop was very nice with friendly staff.

Great place to visit with good paths and plenty of interest. Waymarked walks are easy to follow. Nice little cafe and visitors centre

peaceful. this place is extremely peaceful, amazing to see all the nature and what you wouldn’t usual get to see and such a beautiful place to walk round with family, friends etc etc  plus the cake was EVERYTHING!!!! when i tell you the cakes were amazing i mean they were soo soft, reasonably priced and extremely tasty that i even went back for seconds! the staff today were so lovely as well chatty and helpful. highly recommend coming here if you’re wondering what to do for an afternoon and it’s local so that’s even better.
