Argyle on tour ! Away to Morecambe and have to have my beans on toast and hash browns pre match!! Very busy....hardly any seats. Food not as good as In Oxford "Spoons" last week. Good service though. Came in last night too for some drinks. Not my favourite "Spoons". Its better upstairs though.
You get no surprises from a 'spoons. They are all very similar! Good service here, clean inside. Nice outdoor seating area. FYI the toilets are through the bar, up the stairs, through another bar and then down the stairs; you're welcome!
First time visit...Busy spoons, but served quickly using the app....food was good, toilets clean, overall one of the better run ones I'd say.
By chance we spotted this place while walking around Morecambe, I've always liked Weatherspoon's so decided to give it a go. It was fairly busy to be honest, so we headed upstairs and found a table. We place our order at the bar instead of downloading and using the app. It really wasn't very long before six meals were out and on the table. To be perfectly fair I have no complaints at all, the service was excellent, all the meals were spot on, and the price was very fair, not what you would call expensive.
It's a great place, very accomodating, a group of us enjoy sitting at a round table AND able to add extra chairs. Their food is fresh and drinks are buy one second free, the tea and coffee. It is very popular, facilitates disabled too.
Got the Tuesday mixed grill and it was bloody brilliant. I would happily eat every Tuesday. Meat was perfectly cooked and unlimited coffee refills, definitely enjoyed my time.
Pleasant staff and food and drink fine but there were a number of things that they didn't have. Time they stopped leaving the disabled toilet open. They should be for key holders only. Someone had pebbledashed the toilet and urinated all over the floor and there was no toilet paper. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful.
We went for a late tea on our way home from Blackpool. Can't really fault it. Weatherspoons is very hit and miss on the quality but the food here was lovely. Nice staff who were very efficient and pleasant which was a really nice change from the weatherspoons that we are used to. Nearly choked on a poppadom but that was the only problem we had.
Dreadful fish and chips today sent back and got the same replacement like the first fish&chips it was batter around very thin dried overcooked fish first sent back and told it would be 25 minutes wait ended up getting an refund very disappointing.
Very disappointed. We had previously read some rather poor reviews on Tripadvisor but we thought we'd give it a try on our way home and maybe Tripadvisor was wrong. We arrived on a Saturday evening. The place wasn't very busy. We initially sat downstairs looking forward to a meal. The tables weren't the cleanest I've seen. We decided to sit upstairs. My wife needed the toilet. She was disgusted by the condition of the Ladies toilets. We agreed that this establishment trading with the reputation of Eric Bartholomew was a shame to his name due to the general cleanliness. Consequently we decided we should find somewhere else to dine. It was a shame as we were looking forward to going there.
