Was in here today service at the bar was fine sat at a table next to the food prepared area and I wasn't impressed that my food was ready but I waited 6 minutes until it arrived at my table. I got a burger and chips and wasn't impressed with the portion it was like a childs portion 12 chips and a burger smaller than a McDonald's 99p cheeseburger. Iv been here a few times and always enjoyed my food but not today. Poor display guys
Over various days, I found the service to differ and also the quality of the same meal ordered. All days were at roughly the same time and all were week days. Staff try really hard and are mostly pleasant. Disabled access was good and more than adequate for a wheelchair user.
In for breakfast. Pub at the time was not too busy, however lots of dirty cups and plates on tables. Service was quick but some items missing from the menu. Food was decent enough, standard spoons scran. At the time of visit looked a bit light on staff.
Abysmal. We went in today for lunch and the food was inedible, asked the supervisor Lorna to exchange NOT FOR A FREE MEAL and this was refused as it “wasn’t her problem and the ‘restaurant’ would be at a loss” not taking into consideration the loss to us as customers. My dad showed her how dry the burger was and she laughed and walked away. The macaroni cheese was like playdoh in a bowl which my mum couldn’t touch and the burgers were less quality than something from McDonald’s for 99p. All of it went uneaten, drinks were so watered down they all tasted the same. Spoke with supervisor again when we left to say I was less than impressed with her zero people skills to which she again laughed and walked away. I did say excuse me I am still speaking and she turned round and said “BUSY”. I cannot believe how unprofessional she was, there was not an ounce of care given. Highly advise not to eat here. Whoever gave this woman a management role needs to be examined.
Beans are always just warm sent it back twice and still warm don't think they use temperature thermometer health and safety need to get involved as some of the food was well below the correct temperature
Liked the ambience and hospitality, usial selection of food on the menu, tried the classic shrimp dish with chips, children are not allowed after 8pm so had to finish our dinner in 45 mins. But they were kind enough to us get in for a babychange
Popped in spoons on a Wednesday afternoon for a beer or three . Four of us managed to get a table to sit at . We did not bother with food as it was rammed and we noticed tables not being cleaned after previous customers had left . We saw one couple eating meal with previous customers dirty plates left on table . Not good . They seemed to have plenty of staff but no work ethic. Couple of staff members stood up by the open kitchen talking and drinking juice while tables dirty. Saying that we used the spoons app to order our drinks ask the waitress to wipe our table and we was all happy. Nice pub after shopping trip . Maybe staff and managers need a little more training.
Was there yesterday and our food sat at the pass for absolutely ages before anybody decided to bring it over to our table. There were plenty staff, but not clearing tables or delivering food when ready. I did mention when food was eventually delivered that l wasn't happy it was sat out for so long and the answer l got was....if your food is cold we will replace it for you....really. Please look after your customers. This is not good enough.
Well 4 of us walked in last night Thursday 28th July, for a meal...place was kinda busy, but plenty of tables empty! We walked towards a few tables they had not been cleared away, the food that was left all around 2 tables from existing customers all on the carpet disgusting It was our 1st time we had ever we had been in, and it will be last! Lots of hot food on top of counter but no staff. Very disappointed standard's are very low.
