Having recently moved to live in Wetherby, we have had meals from The Wetherby Whaler on two occasions. Both were first class! The online ordering system works smoothly, and the food was ready at the time specified. A smoothly efficient setup. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who has not tried it.
Purchased fish and chips from Wetherby Whaler York. Very disappointed the fish was more batter than fish and the chips were all dog ends and bits ... all in all a disappointing meal. Additionally contacted them through social media and received no reply, so clearly they don’t seem bothered.
Stopped here for lunch in the restaurant one Thursday, I thought that the waitress was being flippant when she asked if I had a reservation for one because the restaurant was almost empty. 20 minutes latter and the place was very busy. Excellent haddock and chips and a very generous portion.
Had a basic fish and chip takeaway. Great value. Although I wouldn't usually choose fish and chips as I avoid deep fried food, I would go back again. Great taste ,well cooked and not greasy. Very good Covid 19 precautions, I felt very safe. A business well worth supporting.
Fish and chips curry sauce top class will definitely go back when down that way again
Family meal deal very nice.. Breadcakes over priced so went to cooplands got 4 for the price of 1
