Prices are a little inflated as you'd expect from a local, out of the way corner shop. Lovely staff, genuinely they are very accommodating and always greet and treat with politeness. But here's the rub. They only stock up once a week, Tuesdays..normally after 2. I'm not sure of the rationale but running out of the stock they sell most alcohol and tobacco products every single week is rather annoying. It's not a stock space issue as the owner lives literally over the road in the large house. The second issue is I'd never buy any of the baked/bread/ 'fresh baked' goods. It's sat there on a shelf, no wrapping I can understand as it's environment friendly. However it's not covered with a screen. I've watched many people touch, squish and feel the breads/bakery products. Nice people. The shop has a long history. Currently I stick to going when I need to. But never, ever the bread wall.
Staff are always so accommodating and polite. We're lucky to have this shop, always there when we run out of something. Fair prices and always have what we need. Thank you!
