The Garden House is an exceptionally wonderful house, warm comfortable & extremely well equipped with quality furnishings. It is quiet & peaceful with far reaching countryside views. It is in an excellent location with easy access to the main A1, Berwick rail station with links to both Edinburgh & Newcastle being only 45 minutes away, The cosy fires while watching the snow & blizzards from the lounge windows will be forever etched in our memories. Robert was the most thoughtful, kind & generous host we have ever stayed with. Nothing was too much trouble. Delicious scones, Christmas cake & mulled wine. Outside lights on when we returned home late at night, log & coal buckets refilled... it is these little touches that make Robert such an outstanding host. 5 ☆ Accommodation. 5 ☆ Host Robert.

Robert, Robert, Robert.....what can we say ! Hospitality - Excellent, you made Gill and myself feel welcomed the moment we walked in, refreshments and slice of cake, a lovely greeting. Comfort - What is there not to like, we had a choice of room, all generous sized rooms with all amenities tea and coffee, en suite, tv, fantastic decor and furnishings, with a bed big enough to get lost in. Main lounge is great to relax in and the dining room with real open coal fire was a real treat at breakfast time. Location - A great base to nearby Holy Island and Berwick, with plenty of rambling and countryside to explore. The house is set in idyllic grounds, beautifully maintained inside and out, spotlessly clean, tasteful decor, makes it hard to believe we were in B&B, our gain ! Robert is the most charming, talkative, helpful hands on owner we have ever had the pleasure to meet. His friendly persona makes you feel at ease almost immediately. It is without doubt Robert takes pride in everything he does and this is reflected in his attention to detail and his desire to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Definately recommended, pampered and spoilt in luxury Robert…You achieved everything and made our stay exactly what we wanted ! We look forward to seeing you again. Thankyou Dave and Gill
