Incredible hike, amazing views. I suggest giving it a good 5 days if taking big back packs. The section along the lake takes a very long time but is stunning. You need a net for the insects.

Amazing multi day hike through some stunning scenery. I’ve completed the walk both carrying a pack and using the bag transfer service and I’d definitely go for the latter. Beware the midges !

Free water - fill your bottle  before embarking on this trail which goes all the way to Fort William.  Milngavie is an interesting small town with plenty of places to grab a bite or buy your snacks & supplies for the trail.

This has been my dream to do for a while now. Its harder than I imagined it was going to be and I'm a keen hiker. If I was doing it again I would definitely use a bag carrier service as our bags and camping gear slowed us down a lot.

I did the reverse route so it was amazing to get to this point. I wish there was a sign slso for people who are doing the reverse route if all the way the signs shows both ways..

Very interesting hike! Although I only got to do the first half of it. Highly recommend. Preferably in April/may.

What an outstanding trail. Whoever designed this needs an award, sod those media luvvies. Walking from the outskirts of Glasgow to the Highlands, what a fab experience. Just completed but I want to do it again already.

There is no place in milngavie to find to find out about the west highland way and learn what  the walk is about.they dont care about the people who come from allover the world  to come here to enjoy our country.

A tick to the bucket list is going for the West Highland Way. You come back lighter despite your heavy rucksack and a changed perspective on things

West Highland Way Hotel and Campsite. Car parking for 7 + Days. Superb location and evening meals etc. would really recommend staying and parking here.
