A split review as the pasty's are great, but I'm doing this review after sampling the new baguette option for lunch which isn't anything like the same standard. The baguettes are made to order but frankly use budget quality ingredients. The cheese was Tesco value packet seen while they topped up, the ham in my baguette was equally basic reformed type. The baguette lacked crunch, and left me feeling disappointed. At current promo prices you're getting what you pay for. Longer term though I will stick to pastys from this shop. 4 stars as pasties hit the spot, baguettes do not.
Regretting not trying this place sooner...best coffee we've had in a long time in Berkshire. Place was immaculate and the bacon roll was good too. Doesn't matter if it's a chain as long as they put quality products out there and service was excellent.
Decent cornish pasties and selection of other hot snacks. Plenty of seating with nice canal side views downstairs.
More than the usual branches in stations, Newbury's is large with lovely eating in area. The food is good and they offer a meal option but is quite overpriced for what you get, a small dollop of mash and two small spoonfuls of mushy peas. Lovely tasting cakes and food regardless.
Genuine Cornish Pasties with whole chunks of beef and potato. It is more expensive than the pasties sold in supermarkets but the superior quality is well worth the price. It is right next to the Kennet and Avon canal, and the downstairs seating area provides a view of the canal.
Good place to eat a pasty. Nice variety of hot good including bacon rolls in the morning. Good seating too with a nice quiet area downstairs which looks over the canal.
Staff amazingly friendly! Under £4 pounds you will get a meal deal, which is drink, wages, cornish paste! :
Lovely pasties and very friendly staff, if your looking for a hot lunch to go you can't go wrong.
We always go when in town!
Traditional Cornish pasty restaurant. Can sit and eat in or take away. Staff ever so friendly and helpful.
