My daughter struggles here it’s teachers can speak to students like crap and put a lot of pressure on children with extra needs but otherwise
Been here for the past 4 years.. on an electrical apprenticeship and if you’re planning to come here please do not!! Stay far away the incompetence of this college is actually ridiculous and they should be ashamed. They definitely should not be taking any more electrical students on as they haven’t got any tutors to teach the subject! On the 4 year course I had I had about 7-8 different tutors that came in once and left straight away all the teaching was done by an assessor! Still trying to finish one of my exams now and I can’t as there so shockingly bad - stay far away
it is a lovely experience. the tutors are so patient and informative to the students. everything was unhurried and friendly. the food was beautiful. drinks not expensive. definitely going on the Thursday evening dining
I am a catering and hospitality student based in Cheshire College South and West.nnI can not begin to say how much of a positive impact the tutors as well as the college itself have had on my life style, my education and who I am. I struggle a lot from day to day life, however, this place has been a place for me to feel like I belong. It's been a place where I can feel I can escape to.nnThe tutors are witty and charming, as well as helpful and serious when needs be. They make lessons easy to understand, and always find a way to help you 1 to 1 when you need it.nnI couldn't recommend this college more to a teen fresh out of highschool, or even just to someone looking to earn another qualification. This place has the power to change lives. I know first hand.nn
My course was a level 2 engineering deploma and the way we were treated as a group was unacceptable. At the start of the year we had a tutor swap but they were never consistant. We had at least 6 different tutors for 2 to 3 months and we had a questionnaire for us to decide who we would like to have as our tutor from there on. Before the questionnaire as a group we had decided that we would all vote for 1 person, we didn't get him. From that point on the course was insane: the tutor not turning up, loosing course work, in some cases loosing intire portfolios. A few people had to come in during the holidays after the course had officially finished, me being one of them, to redo tests we had already done. At this point in time our class still do not know our results from this course, it is 3rd of September and I have enrolled in Colleg Cambria but I do not have a secure spot until I am given my results. I was told personally that the practical work hadn't been marked, that was on gcse results day. My and many others futures is dependent of these results and it is outrageous how something as serious as is is being messed about.nnI would highly recommend not sending your child or enrolling yourself to any engineering course at this college
