We visited on a Saturday whilst on a weekend break in nearby Glastonbury. The market is in a wonderful setting in the historic heart of Wells. A good range of stalls selling a variety of goods.
Fantastic market with lots of stalls. Right next to lovely walks around the cathedral, park and countryside. The Parsons Nose sells amazing burgers and the flower stall can’t be beat for quality, price and service. Always enjoy a mooch around!
Great collection of hot meals, clothes and local artisan food.nnCheese, free-range meat, mead, olives, bread and sweets. Fresh food and smells of a variety of foods.nnA must visit when you are in the area.
Wells market is excellent. We went in February and thoroughly enjoyed it. Went came back last weekend and it was even better. Lots of great products and amazing food. If we lived closer we’d be going all the time.nnLots or reasonably priced parking near by and Union Street car parks has public toilets.
I really loved this place. It was so colourful and vibrant.nnThere was an excellent variety of stalls which sold fresh food. There were also fresh fruit and vegetable stands.nnThere was one lovely stall which was very near the entrance to The Bishop's Palace. The clothing showcased all of the colours of the rainbow. I am far too shy to wear anything that colourful, but I can see the appeal. I also like the fact that the vendors let you look at stuff as opposed to asking several questions so that you feel obligated to buy something. It is an ideal place to spend a few hours.nnThe Town Crier was amazing . It was extremely entertaining to see him.
