My name is Mrs. Lewthwaite, I never if ever attend the surgery and my records will show this. I had an appointment for 10.40 this morning with Dr. Asaad and after waiting an hour - requested of the receptionist how much longer I should wait. To be informed that there were still 2 other patients in front of myself.... Why then when I "signed in" was I not informed that delays were apparent and maybe I should come back in 2 hours (allowing for half an hour each for the two infront of myself still) - I do not have that sort of time to waste. There are instructions on the noticeboard of what to do if we (the patients) turn up late. Yet no one has the common decency to explain to us (again the patients) that infact things are not going to plan and maybe we should re-appoint or come back later. This is not the first time I have been told how bad this surgery is run/administered. I now intend to leave and the request will be made shortly. The treatment of your patients should be paramount and attention to detail also. I am an intelligent being and if someone had taken the time to consider me as a human being and explain what was happening (or more to the point not) - then I could have made my own decision in a rational manner instead of being made angry. Also maybe it needs to be understood - that in our full 60 years of working life and paying into the NHS - which in turn pays all of your salarys. We should be treated with respect at the very least. This would never be acceptable in any other institution which accepts our money... Yours Sincerely.
