Excellent taxi company, which I used very frequently over a 20+ year period. Less frequently now I live in Cambs, but still my favourite. Today was a perfect example, kept informed of driver, taxi and ETA, prompt arrival, no issue about collecting another passenger, a really friendly helpful driver with good old fashioned customer service.
Booked a taxi with this company from Hamilton to Glasgow. I was having issues with the app but a quick call to book and the taxi was there within minutes busy Friday night. Driver was pleasant, clean car and was very reasonably priced I felt. Will definitely use again if in the area.
Without doubt the best taxi service in Scotland. Always prompt. Always excellent. Never had a bad driver however Dean tonight was exceptional! There is nothing better than learning and boy was there education from Dean. Great guy Great company all the best.
As always, the driver was extremely helpful. I had a case and three full shopping bags and he brought them all up the stairs to the front door and into the house. I have no hesitation in recommending your company. Carol McKay
I want to give Wellman Cars points for being professional and the app is good and their drivers are good. HOWEVER, it is borderline dangerous to rely on this taxi company if you need to stick to a schedule or have an important pick up/moment, they are so often unvailable that it's a 50/50 coin flip on any given time whether you get a taxi or not- at the most random times as well- you could get your taxi literally in seconds, or you could get your taxi 20-30 minutes late and if you go to book 15 minutes before you need to leave? You'll get blocked by the app saying they've blocked off reservations for a time period. They need to invest in more drivers or a better booking system that doesn't give people that need to be somewhere an anxiety attack.
***CHECK THE METER BEFORE YOUR JOURNEY STARTS*** Would not recommend that anyone use this company particularly on a Saturday evening*. Booked a regular trip between Stonehouse and Broomhouse, normally priced at approximately £30 - the call agent confirmed that the booking was within the G71 Uddingston boundary, yet I was charged £50 with the meter at £18 before we had even started our journey. Having spoke to an operator about it they claimed this journey takes 35 minutes when in actual fact it is 20. Overpriced and unwilling to help. There are better services in the South Lanarkshire area.
Very easy to book. App kept me informed at every step. Friendly and considerate driver who picked me on time and got me to my destination in good time.
Fine if you book them when they aren’t busy however when you really need them they let you down. My booking was cancelled without my knowledge. If you cannot rely on a taxi company and they cancel bookings without your knowledge then they are useless hence the 1 star review.
Driver was a great laff. It was a short fair from John street Hamilton 2 low waters medical but my driver was brilliant & lovely & car immaculate
Taxi was on time. The driver was nice and chatty. He advised he was taking the quickest route to my destination. Well pleased with this taxi service and will continue to use them in the future.
